Sweat equity is a real thing! DIY cash & carry hay. Can't beat the price. Ibuprofen will be my friend for a couple of days! 😵‍💫

This little sweetie got to try on her SUPER cute halter while momma was in the stanchion tonight! 🩷

This one is too small as it probably wouldn't fit her in 2 days! 🤪 So, I'm getting the next size up.

Her training as a future milk cow starts now with lots of love & tenderness so she'll be the best she can be. 🥰

We've had our beautiful Jersey cow for almost 2 years and this is my first attempt at mozzarella cheese! Wait!!! WHAT???!!!

I was nervous to try or maybe I was nervous to fail 😬

Well...it was SUPER simple. 💥 I should have taken this step sooner. But now that I've done it I'm seeing a LOT more in our future!!!

Yesterday we picked up our Jersey girl "Honey" and her 4 mos steer "Frank".

We have been thinking about this addition to our small farm for over a year. We've been going back & forth but we finally found the right girl, at the right time and we said, "Let's do this!!"

My mom's family has a looong history of dairy farming & my dad's grandfather took care of a large farm for an affluent family back in the late 1800's.

This milk came from my first time hand milking our new girl. My great-grandfather made the cow bell & the milk jar comes from the family dairy farm.

A new tradition started today. 💚🌱
