You would hardly recognize her now but this is little Sienna that we got from Animal Control last week. Her black hair is turning brownish red oddly enough. She doesn't have any problem just settling in and making herself at home.

This mama Stray cat who's been hanging around the neighborhood for about a month decided to give birth to four baby kittens on the owner's deck last night. They have her in a box in a safe place for now with her four baby kitties that are a half a day old but they can't keep them because they have large dogs. We need a foster to try to help this little family. Mom is friendly and look at her hugging her little kitten, she's a good Mama and she needs a safe place to raise these kitties. We got up bright and early and fetched this little kitty from animal control. She has a little bit of a wonky eye that we're dealing with and we'll need dewormer and other things but overall she looks pretty good. She's just a very content little kitty that loves exploring and playing with toys. We don't have a name yet so if anybody wants to make any suggestions please do! I know there were some comments on the animal control site that the kitty looked really bad but over the time that she was there they did a good job caring for her and getting her food and she looked much better by the time that we were able to pick her up. Many thanks to all that animal control does for The Unwanted cats that get picked up in the community. Remember where the problem lies: it's the citizens who let their cats out unneutered unvaccinated and not microchipped and that is why Animal Control has to do what they do. Keep your pets inside, get them spay neutered and get them chipped!

Thank you to Feeding Furry Friends and Chewy for providing litter to rescues! We were able to get this huge bag of litter and more pellet litter last week-end for our foster homes. We couldn't do it without you!

This is little miss Maddie! She is a beautiful kitten who loves the usual kittens things including spending time in the sun. Her quiet and generally calm demeanor would be perfect for almost any home. Please note that Maddie would do best with a feline companion.

Introducing IvyAnna. This little miss came to us very pregnant. We were so happy to find out how friendly she is! She loves to be pet and loved on . Ivy Anna had 6 very beautiful and healthy babies and has raised them up to be funny and wild little tykes. She has been a great mama cat but she has had enough and is anxious to get on with her life as a loved and cherished member of a family. IvyAnna is a young adult, maybe 2ish who is very loving and lovable. She doesn't seem to like other cats that much so she will do best as an only feline or adopted with one of her kittens. IvyAnna is just a lovely cat looking for a home who will love her the way she deserves. Another busy day for us! 20 felines made the trip to Purple Cat Mobile Veterinary Clinic on Baldwin WI today to be spayed and neutered! All of them will be available for adoption soon!

The lives of these 2 cats were saved today. They have been sitting in animal control for quite some time and their time was up. Thanks to the CSO for calling us for help, for the volunteers with Helping Paws for getting right to work finding a place for them to go, and transporting them to St. Paul, and for Pet Haven, Inc. of MN for not even hesitating in letting us know they could take them. Sometimes it takes a village and Today the village came together for 2 very friendly cats. Wonderful things happen when we all work together. Welcome to the first day of the rest of your lives, boys. You are safe.

Meet Rain! Rain is part of the group from animal control labeled feral. Well, Rain is the shyest of all his siblings but nothing close to feral. He is playful and loves romping with his siblings and just starting to realize that I am ok. We will keep working with him. Rain will be neutered on July 30th and be available for adoption shortly after that.

Meet our new Orange Tabby Kitty Scout.
Sipping coffee and looking at the three little kittens playing this morning, I think to myself, how much better could life be? Fostering can be some of the most difficult times with sick kitties and kitties you have to feed every few hours and everything that goes along with it. Sometimes we have nightmares after seeing the conditions of some of these kittens and where they came from but then we think, I saved this one, I made a difference in the life of this cat! The hopes are that it will have a wonderful bright future and each Kitty we save, we change the world for them, and for ourselves!
New arrivals, these guys we will start their names with a "P" and the little black ones a girl and the two tabbies are boys.
It was the best of times, and the worst of times, as kitten season brings a deluge of calls for the countless kittens in need. Rescues quickly fill up, leaving us struggling to find room for more. The worst part is being unable to save every kitten, but the best part is seeing our fosters, who adore kittens, care for them as they grow and thrive, and eventually find loving homes.

We had a happy Mother's day yesterday a little ahead of schedule. Journey, (who is one of our newest members) after 2 days of being with us decided to give birth and we caught just a glimpse of it here. She ended up with four little kittens, 2 black, 1 striped and 1 gray. Mama and babies are doing well. More pictures to follow.
