The opportunities God blesses us with, and the people we meet along the way, never ceases to amaze me ❤️

I only snagged a few photos, but what a blessing of an experience! Meeting some absolutely wonderful people, getting to catch up with a dear friend, and getting to teach some amazing ladies about horse physical therapy was a truly special opportunity! I only got a picture of the two older girls with their taping job on Tango, but everyone was so involved and loved getting to be hands on and use the equipment.

Hey y’all! I had taken some time off to get some personal things handled, but we are back in action! I’ll start off with one of my personal horses (my heart horse and queen of the barn 💅🏼) and doing some therapy on her since she is in retirement! I apologize to anyone who reached out and didn’t receive a response until now; it was a rough year, especially in the last few months, and I’m just now getting back to where I need to be. Sending all the love and prayers to all of you as we jump into 2026!

Y’all…. It’s been a hot minute, so let me do a little reintroduction! I’m Kayla Derouineau, owner and practitioner of KD Desert Equine. I work on horses, dogs, and people with several different forms of therapy, including massage, red light therapy, nebulizer, and Equitape treatments! For anyone not familiar with Equitape, it is a specialized form of kinesiology tape that is designed for horse hair and to work with the physiology and movement of the horse. It utilizes different stretches and taping methods to create stability, muscle relaxation, muscle contraction, support, etc. for individual needs! I am a Tarleton graduate with a Bachelor’s and Masters in Animal Science, and have owned my own business for almost 2 years now. My equine clients include western and English disciplines, and I work with the owners to make sure we focusing on what each individual animal (and person) needs! Thank you to my clients that have stuck with me since the start, and I hope to see many new faces as we continue on this journey! ❤️
