We proudly trace our roots back to Germany, where the Vitakraft part of the company was founded in 1837. In 2008, Vitakraft joined forces with Sunseed in the US, where the combined company now operates out of rural Ohio, making products for birds, s

mall animals, dogs, cats and other companion animals that are as rich in nutrition and natural goodness as the farmlands that surround our facility. We pride ourselves in being a worldwide leader in setting standards of quality and excellence for the pet product industry, utilizing the latest research and technologies to create products that are not only nutritionally sound, but also address the mental and physical needs of pets. With products from ferrets to parrots and most pets in between, we put our heart and soul into creating great products to keep your pets happy and healthy.

For over 35 years, Sunseed has been creating products for small animals and companion birds from the beautiful countryside of Northwest Ohio.

Our products are, and have always been, “By Pet Lovers, For Pet Lovers”. As pet parents ourselves, we are passionate about the health and happiness of all companion animals: our own and yours.
