With the addition of Teddy to my family, my life has become even more busy than I ever could have imagined. In an effort to focus my energy and efforts, I am thrilled to announce that Wag ‘n Wed is for sale.
At Wag ‘n Wed, we are the family’s dog’s plus-one at their wedding. In other words, we’re the bride and groom’s dedicated dog sitter! Responsibilities include squeaking balls during pictures with the pup so the pup looks at the camera, cleaning up after the pup to help maintain the wedding venues, assisting the pup in their ceremony participation, and transporting the pup to and from the wedding so that time can be limited on site. It’s rare that dogs are around 100+ people, and weddings can be a lot of excitement for them (as well as their people). We are there to make sure they are properly attended to and cared for while not burdening a friend or family member. High-end venues with manicured landscaping love us and we have even had multiple venues amended their contracts to allow the bride and groom’s pup to attend their wedding with our service.
I’m looking at this sale as a basically ready-to-go business kit that needs a dedicated person to really commit and focus on it.
Included in this sale would be the following:
- Custom branding done by Blackbird Digital (a professional graphic design company in CDA) including – logo, website elements, business cards, and brochure
- Custom designed website by Giant Donut Marketing (a professional website company based in CDA)
- Business phone number, domain name and matching social media handles
- Bridal Show supplies – large sign, table runner, stuffed pup, printed brochures
- All 2025 (and beyond) booking and inquiries
- Contract for bookings
- A specified amount of my time to get you set up and running
I’ve kept the fixed costs of running the business extremely low… the annual operating costs are currently $47 per year. This includes 2 domain names (www.wagnwed.com and www.wagandwed.com) , hosting, a domain name specific email, and a business phone number/line, so it’s safe to say you’ll be cash flow positive very quickly. For this reason, I’m not in a huge rush, but instead am truly looking for the right person and fit to take this business to the next level. For those of you in the wedding and event industry, we will continue to take booking and operate the business without restrictions until we do find the right fit.
