Sweet River stayed here at FLL Foundations for training from Level I to Level III, and she did fantastic. It's always hard to let a dog go after training them and seeing them make such a transformation from puppy antics to one that is still a puppy, but also has some great foundations in obedience. Below are a couple video of River while she was here. Hard to let her go, but so excited for her to be loving her new family ❤️🐾

As you can see, he is in the "testing phase" with place.
"Do I really have to put all four feet on the place, or if I just sit super cute right here will you still give me a click and a treat?"
He's pretty cute. Love watching him think through stuff.

He is solid on his name and come, and is currently learning commands to sit, kennel, and place.
He has had lots of opportunities to learn leave it as well :)
He is doing great with socializing, loves new experiences and is always happy to play with any dog/puppy that wants to.
Crate training is going well, just has a couple times in the crate during the day and does great on car rides.
Rudy also LOVES to retrieve! 🐾❤️

River (AKA: Penny) is doing awesome on her training. She is currently in Level 2, so we are working on proofing her obedience thus far in "field trips".
We went to Chuck & Don's yesterday and she was a rock star. Confident in her surroundings, trotted right alongside me through the aisles, and was eager to give every person she met her signature "cuddle" as she lays her head on their shoulder. Peanut butter biscuits, tennis balls and other enticing distractions were ignored pretty well. Excited with how far she's come and having a blast with her ❤️🐾

Some pics of one of our girls in training. Kallie is currently available, and doing well on her level 1 training. She currently knows come, sit, down, stay, place, kennel, leave it, and target. She is doing excellent on her crate training, and very well on her house training schedule. Kallie is ready to go to her new home next week.

Family Loved Labs Training

Larissa has always loved dogs – especially Labradors. She started training at 10 years old with her first 4-H show. Obedience, agility, rally, and showmanship were all activities she was involved in with our Labs. Throughout her 4-H career she showed at County and State level Gunner, Cayenne, Kindle, Hero, and Noble. It was around this time that she also started the “Larissa’s Family Fun” page which many of you FLL families will remember fondly. A few years into 4-H showing she decided to get involved with AKC junior showmanship as well, where she showed Dove. Throughout this time, she continued training both our personal dogs and also puppies/dogs that went to new families. Larissa went to school for her Bachelor’s in Biology, and almost exactly 1 year ago today she started her new job in the healthcare/laboratory industry. Well, new experiences shed light on personality, pathways and passions; Larissa realized just how much she missed the dogs and training. So she quit her job and she’s back! She is now starting a training program here at Family Loved Labs that has just now become available (For Family Loved Lab puppies/dogs only).
