Help Us Find Juni the Perfect Home! 🐾❤️

We’re reaching out once again to find the best forever home for our sweet girl, Juni. At 5 and a half years old, Juni has so much love to give, but she hasn’t yet found the right match. Here’s the good, the bad, and what makes Juni truly special.

**How Juni Came to Us:**
Juni originally came to us with some challenges. She was on several anxiety medications and a plant-based diet. After we took her in, we dedicated time to getting to know her, gradually weaning her off the meds and changing her diet. This journey has helped her blossom into the amazing dog she is today.

**The Good:**
Juni is everything you’d hope for in a Great Dane. She’s incredibly loyal, extremely well-trained, and a joy to be around. Whether on or off-leash, she listens beautifully and even hugs on command! Juni loves every person she meets and is a great car companion. She’s also comfortable being left at home and doesn’t require crating, making her an ideal pet for many families.

**The Bad:**
Juni wasn’t properly socialized with other dogs in her early life, which means she needs some extra help when it comes to introductions and playtime. While we’ve made progress—she’s formed a friendship with our husky—it took a lot of work and patience to get there.

**The Best:**
With the right person willing to invest time and patience, we truly believe Juni can thrive in a loving home. She would do best as an only dog or with one other submissive dog, as she continues to learn how to interact with her furry friends.

Finding the right home for Juni has been a challenge, but we’re committed to finding it! She’s safe with us until that perfect match comes along. If you or someone you know has a special space in their heart (and home) for a loving, loyal companion, we’re more than willing to transport Juni to wherever she needs to go.

Popcorn Night with the Girls: A Rescue Dog Celebration! 🍿🐾

It’s popcorn night at our house, and I couldn’t be happier to cuddle up with my three amazing rescue dogs: Lulu, Biscuit, and Yuca. Each of them has a unique story that adds so much joy and love to our lives.

Yuca came to us almost eight years ago after we lost our beloved Great Dane. We knew we needed a companion for our remaining pup. At PACC shelter, my son stood in front of Yuca’s cage, tears streaming down his face as she cried. In that moment, we knew she was meant to be part of our family. Bringing her home was one of the best decisions we ever made.

Then there’s Lulu, who joined us after several unsuccessful attempts to find her a suitable forever home. Her last family tried their best, but their neighborhood was too overwhelming for her. She was terrified of people, and our home turned out to be just the right sanctuary for her. Once she settled in, it was clear she had found her forever home with us.

And then there’s Biscuit. Talk about a funny story! I accidentally picked up the wrong dog from a prison program, our neighbor ended up adopting her. Despite her new home, Biscuit kept escaping and showing up at our door. Now, we’ve embraced a shared custody situation, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Each of these girls has brought so much love and laughter into our lives. I’d love to hear your rescue stories! How did your furry friends come into your lives? 🐶❤️

Important Update for Dog Owners Considering Surrendering

Dear Dog Owners,

We understand that circumstances can change, leading some to consider surrendering their beloved pets. While we strive to make the process as smooth as possible, we’ve noticed a trend that has led us to implement new criteria for surrendering dogs. Our goal is to ensure that every dog is given the best chance for a happy future.

**New Surrender Requirements:**

1. **Proof of Vaccinations:**
- Dogs must be up to date on their DAPP, rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations.

2. **Essential Supplies:**
- Please provide a leash, collar, and a bag of the food your dog is currently eating. This helps us maintain consistency and comfort for the dog during the transition.

3. **Behavioral Concerns:**
- If your dog has been experiencing unusual behavioral issues, a wellness check with a veterinarian is required before surrendering. This ensures that any underlying health issues are addressed.

While we do not charge a surrender fee, we believe it is vital for owners to take responsibility for their pets. These requirements are the bare minimum to ensure the well-being of the dogs we take in.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work together to find loving homes for these pets in need.

We finally got everyone dropped off today, and tomorrow our mastiff boy will meet his new family! 🎉

This evening, I’ll be posting about 9 dogs who desperately need foster homes. Four of them need to be moved from their current fosters, and five are still in boarding. Unfortunately, boarding is not an option this time of year, as all facilities are booked and it’s very expensive. Our current boarding bill is $525 a week, and today’s $5 Friday only raised $30.

Finding foster homes during this season can be really challenging. If you don’t have big holiday plans and can help, please reach out to us! Every bit of support makes a difference for these pups. ❤️

**Pupdate: Buddy and Dupe**

We’re thrilled to share an update on our belly-up boys, Buddy and Dupe! These two are settling in wonderfully and getting very, very comfortable with their new foster family. It's heartwarming to see how quickly they’ve adapted to their surroundings.

Our foster reports that Buddy and Dupe are enjoying the company of the other Little Mighty Mutts in the home, making new friends and having a blast together. They’ve also discovered a new favorite treat—hot dogs! It seems they’ve found a delicious way to celebrate their new life.

A huge thank you to our incredible foster for saying yes and saving not just one, but two lives this holiday season. Your kindness is making all the difference for Buddy and Dupe! Stay tuned for more updates as these sweet boys continue to thrive!

**Pupdate: Yoshi and Hickory**

We’re excited to share an update on Yoshi and his sidekick, Hickory! They are settling in wonderfully with their foster family. Our foster reports that things are going smoothly, and we couldn’t be happier.

Yoshi is still a bit on the shy side and takes his time to warm up, but with Hickory by his side, he’s starting to come out of his shell. Hickory is taking on the role of the big brother, showing Yoshi the ropes and helping him feel more comfortable in their new environment.

The Night After Transport

'Twas the night after transport, and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The food bowls were empty, the cookies all gone,
While dreams of new toys danced in hearts all night long.

The dogs were all nestled, snug in their beds,
With visions of treats and soft cushions for heads.
They snored softly, blissfully, tails in a twirl,
While outside the snowflakes began to unfurl.

The Transporter, now weary, sank down with a sigh,
Her eyes barely open, she couldn't deny—
That hauling and driving and lifting all day,
Had left her quite tired in a most humorous way.

She chuckled to herself, “What a long, crazy ride!
From Arizona to here, with gifts far and wide.
She delivered the joy, but oh, what a feat!
Next year, shell just stick to delivering treats!”

Her shoes were all scuffed, and her hair in a mess,
With fur glitter and drool, she’d surely confess,
She’d tripped over toys in the midst of a veer
But oh, what a joy to spread laughter and cheer!

So she sipped on her cocoa, a smile on her face,
As she glanced at the dogs, all sprawled out in grace.
“Tomorrow,” she muttered, “I’ll take a long rest
But tonight, let’s enjoy this sweet, peaceful mess

With a yawn and a stretch, she settled in tight,
Merry memories swirling, all cozy and bright.
For the night after transport, with all its delight,
Brought warmth to the season, and dreams through the night.
