Reaching out to you to see if you can help. I rescued two male huskies that were running loose and about to get hit. I had contacted the Human Society in Springfield and they reported they were not taking large dogs right now. They are both intact and I have set up appointments for them to get neutered, just knowing it needs to be done. I’m planning on getting them Rabies vaccines next weekend. But I already have three dogs and two cats and can not keep them.

PLEASE, please, please folks if you write a rescue for help, give them your contact information. If you can take this puppy, you'll have to find Clarie on Facebook, and hope she's on her computer. URGENT--two abandoned little girls need immediate fosters. These pups were left in a crate on a river bank. They were wearing the collars. Yes, very strange, and a bit suspicious. They were muddy and hungry, but seem to be in good health. I'm wondering if they were stolen, or taken from someone and dumped. Please share and let's see if we can find out where they came from.

I wanted to reach out as I had two puppies around 10 months old abandoned near my home on Wednesday night. I am trying to find placement for them as I am expecting and cannot take on any more responsibility at this time. If you cannot, would you know someone that may be able to help them?

They were abandoned north of Springfield. They are approximately 10 months old and both unaltered females. They seem to be terrier mixes approximately 15-16lb. They are both friendly and good with other dogs. I will have to re-release them if I am unable to find placement soon.

Petie is a little toy poodle boy who loves, loves, loves to cuddle. He would really like a forever home where he is the only pet, so be never has to share a lap. He is okay with other dogs, it's just his preference to have his person to himself. Petie is 8 years old and settled, but still energetic. He rides well and loves to go for car rides. Anyone who has time and love to share, needs to take a look at this boy. He is a snuggler, and he would like to meet you.

Love these updates. Adopter writes--"Just wanted to send you an update on Jem (Snoopy) who we adopted in August 2022.

He's been lots of fun and has a crazy personality. We had his DNA done and he has 13 breeds in him! I describe him as a long haired Boston terrier with a longer nose. He's filled out a lot so maybe we feed our dogs too well. He and his sister, Scout, have adjusted well to each other and he helps her be a dog since she's deaf. They are both alpha dogs so that causes issues sometimes. He loves to chase the birds and wildlife in our backyard and protect us from any noises from the outside. He loves his Mom and snuggles with her in bed every night.

Romy

Romy is a gorgeous unique German shepherd dog mix. She is very energetic and outgoing. Romy is about 7-8 months old and about 35 lbs. she wants to play with everyone she meets (people and animals). Loves toys and will even toss them around for herself which is very cute. She will play catch but sometimes forgets to watch the toy be thrown. lol. Romy loves attention. She will lay her head on her persons chest and just melt, slowly wiggling as much of her body on her person as she can. She loves to cuddle. Being a GSD mix she can be a bit mouthy and pawing, but has learned to be gentle in her requests for attention. She loves to give kisses. To be loved on. To have her belly rubbed. She is a sweetheart.

Romy is great in the house when supervised. But can be a bit wild and jumpy at times. Never mean. Just excited.

She has learned toys are for chewing and not people things. She is housetrained and uses a doggy door very well. She does get some anxiety when her person leaves. She is crate trained and generally quiet in it. She will bark when she hears her person come home as she is very happy to see them.

Romy loves the water! She loves to play and dig in it. Would love hiking and exploring creeks and such.

Romy loves other animals (cats and dogs) She is outgoing and will go up to any other animal and try to play. If they don’t want to she may bark like ‘hey! Let’s play!’ We are working on the “Leave it” command and if told she will. Romy would love another dog her size to play with. She is learning to play gently with the small dogs she currently lives with and has made a lot of progress.

Romy is fine with children but might do better with sturdy on their feet kids as she’s a clumsy pup still , not always aware of her size and others personal space. She will occasionally herd her kids, like slow down! But never mean. Watchful. Smart. She’s a really good girl and will make an excellent family dog.

Romy would like her person to be active, and with her a lot. To allow her to cuddle and be a part of everything. She is a Velcro girl (unless she’s got zoomies ) She can be protective of her people. Watching what’s going on. She is learning rules and would excel in her own home.

WOW! and Double WOW! Do you recognize this boy? Yes it is BREW. For those who do not recognize him, this sweet pup was hit by a hit-and-run driver in front of a coffee shop, months ago. Lucky for him, other drivers were much more compassionate to the injured pup. He was picked up and taken to a vet. He had a badly broken leg, and needed expensive surgery to save that leg. No owner answered the notices and posts, so it was up to rescue to step forward to help the pup, by now named Brew, due to the location where he was hit. Rescue had no fosters, and could only rescue Brew with a responsible foster. He not only needed a place to stay, he needed special care as his injury healed. Where was that foster? Step forward, RICHARD MORRISON. This dog has had a healthy diet, lots of love and attention, and LOOK AT HIM NOW! This is what rescue and an exceptional foster can do. It doesn't look like Brew is still looking for a forever home. Many thanks, Richard.

"I live just outside of Carthage Missouri and I have found a puppy outside of my house. I cannot take care of her at the present time and I was wondering if you had any availability?
I am not entirely sure of what breed she is, but if you are willing to take her, I am most definitely willing to drive over there.

Spayed: unable to tell, but no scarring defining a surgery
Coloring: predominantly brown, white tipped tail and all feet are white
Shots: no prior history that I could find, but willing to get her the shots she needs
People and dog friendly/oriented
Found pup needs a home. Finder says:
Behaviours: house trained (will only p*e in the house if it is a must), loosely leash trained(I'm slowly working with her on that)
Basic commands such as come, sit, lay down, and off I am currently teaching her.
She's also teething right now, so she's chewing on everything, but can easily be redirected.
Loves being outside and can handle the heat really well.

Pixie is ready for her forever home. If there was ever a cuter, sweeter little girl, we haven't seen her.
Foster says,

"Pixie

Pixie is just about a perfect fuzzy pup! She is adorably sweet. Wanting to cuddle and give kisses. She loves to be right next to her person day and night. Her fur is so soft and fun to pet. And very low maintenance as she requires very little grooming. (Girl is a natural beauty)

Pixie gets along with other dogs and cats. She can be a bit fearful of bigger dogs until she gets to know them. I can understand that because she is tiny!

Pixie gets along with friendly kids but she’s a puppy and try’s to play rough at times. She may be small but her personality is large. Giving her a toy to play rough with solves the issue.

Pixie LOVES food. And will eat like it’s the first time in weeks…every time. Lol. She is learning potty training and does well when on a schedule. Pixie is crate trained but prefers to sleep with a human. (If allowed she sleeps through the night.)

Pixie rides well in the car and loves getting attention while out and about. She also really enjoys spending time outside either playing in the grass or relaxing in the sun.

This girl is literally the cutest fuzzy pup. "

We need two fosters and they will probably be short time fosters. One is a 2 year old female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and the other a 2-3 year-old Corgi girl. Both are sweethearts and must be fostered in the Springfield area. Email [email protected] We don't have pictures yet.

I generally post needy dogs, but I can't in good conscience not at least try to help these poor kitties who lost their mom and will soon have no place to live.

Please contact Ryann directly if you can help these three cats that may be left to fend for themselves if not rescued.

I'm not sure about cats. Same with children she just needs a little extra time. She's very tolerable to people she loves.
