6 yr old Jovi needs a new home. Not in our program, Jovi's owner has other dogs in the home with whom Jovi does not get along. Her history is a sad one. Her original owners got Jovi as a puppy and it's alleged they kept her in a closet without the ability to be socialized and not very well fed. An older female acquaintance of the original family adopted her and they lived happily together until the kindly owner developed Alzheimers. Jovi is now living with that owner's family and not doing well.

Jovi is house trained, crate trained, respectful of fencing, loves car rides, cuddling with her people and playing outside. Jovi knows the basic commands of sit, come, stop. She is good walking on lead. When just with her owner she is a fine companion. She needs a home without other dogs or children and would most likely prefer a woman because of her history. If you live a quiet life without much exposure to other dogs and just want a nice companion Jovi is your girl.

Congratulations to Katherine Huntley and Autumns Maple Pepper Champlain NA I 112 for their WB and BOW today in Springfield. Katherine , you remind many of us why we are out there- you step into the ring each time with complete faith in your girl, you have fun , you are genuinely happy to be out there, you are a wonderfully postive addition to each entry … points , placement or not … watching you makes me proud and humble. This is Forrest’s Beach… a beach I’ve never been to on the other side of the United States. Two people I’ve never met make the world just a little bit brighter after the losses of so many of our special and much loved family members. Forrest represented the GSP zest for life , the courage, strength loyalty , the unconditional love and bond of a “heart dog”. In Forrest’s memory Terri and John place a forever ball on this beach in this basket for other dogs to run and play with … with a name lovingly placed in honor of our losses. Other people who walk their dogs are also invited to place their own Forever Ball. A ball was placed for Vegas on what was her 17th birthday (a lovely coincidence). I know how lovingly each ball is named and placed … I and so many others thank you. Thank you so very much for this gift of peace and healing ❤️🐾❤️
