The North American Championships was an incredible experience. Thank you so much Paula Nelson for everything, there really aren't words to thank you enough for making this “pipe-dream” a reality. Of course the other biggest thank you goes to Disco, for being the most wonderfully willing partner and truly giving his all! I was truly just so grateful to be here and in this arena I have watched on the livestream so many times, I can't believe we are coming home with a gold medal. Our Region 5 teammate Catherine Burlew (Clay Burlew) also did fantastic taking Silver on her combined Junior team! Thank you Joan Clay for helping us get here and Grace Burley for being my chef at the show.

I certainly could not have done this without everyone's support but definitely not without my amazing coach Cyndi Jackson, To The Max Dressage. Thank you Gerrit-Claes Bierenbroodspot for all your extra help, George Williams for helping me at NAYC, and Beverly Rogers for your freestyle help.

Big thank you to our entire team of vets, farriers, etc- Cindi La Croix, Sheri Drake, Josh Toy, Trey Green (who drove an hour to last minute to fix a shoe!!), Billie Jon Stetson Top line Saddle Fitting, Cori Deltoro Top line Therapeutic, Itamar Itazark, George Ruth, Beth Mulcahy (for all of your unwavering support), my mom Susan Nordqvist (for flying here to support me!), and Maureen Fahney (for loving my wonderful horse Cash at home!).

Our ride today in the Individual was not the score I was hoping for due to some bobbles, so we are not moving onto the freestyle tomorrow... However, I have some exciting news, we received an invitation to the Festival of Champions!!! Thank you to Disco's amazing owner Paula Nelson, but thank you most of all to my wonderful coach Cyndi Jackson, To The Max Dressage! I never would have believed that this would be possible, but you have been my cheerleader every step of the way and thanks to you we have this opportunity!! You have shared so much with me, everything from your knowledge to your beautiful show boots!

The ADA Summer Heat shows were fantastic this weekend! It was awesome to spend the weekend riding in the AC and I had the best rides I've ever had on Disco! On Saturday we received both our personal best and worst score for the team test, despite a fantastic ride, thankfully we get a drop score... However, today we rocked it to get our personal best for the individual and the freestyle- one of the judges even gave us a 70.7% for the Individual and a 70.3% for the Freestyle (despite a few bobbles in the freestyle)! I have never received so many 7.5s and 8s, we even got an 8 for a canter pirouette and the overall impression! I feel like all the hard work is paying off, thank you Cyndi Jackson for all of your help and the support of your whole team- also Claes Bierenbroodspot for coaching in clinics. The biggest thank you to Paula Nelson for making all of this possible! So many people came out to watch and support today- thank you!!!

With a sweet personality and willing attitude, Atreides is eager to please- He continues to learn more every day. I have also taken him over a small jump and he loved it! He is ideal for a confident amateur or junior looking to develop a young horse.

Also thank you Beth Mulcahy for listening to a ton of songs with Paula and I to pick this theme! All the music editing was done by me. Overall the Temecula Spring Benefit CDI was fantastic! We achieved our goal of riding our freestyle so Disco and I are now qualified for Young Riders at NAYC! Thank you Cyndi Jackson for coaching remotely and of course for all of your help at home. Also big thank you to Beverly Rogers Dressage for helping me create a new floorplan for my freestyle!
