It was doggie dessert day here at Rescued Tails! Dot and Rocco's favorite day of the week!
Pebbles gives Sir Hiss-A-Lot a massage almost every night. FFF (feline friends forever) ❤
If you adopt Rocco he will clean your floors... and do your laundry 😄
It isn't the White House Lawn, but Rocco seems to be enjoying the first ever, Rescued Tails Easter egg roll...
The world is her loofah!
Adoptable Mabel loves to roll in the crusty snow on her mornings walk.
Our little sweet senior feline, Collette, has developed a limp. She has chronic kidney disease, is hyperthyriod, is prone to pancreatitis and now has a limp! She will be seeing one our vets to hopefully determine what is wrong and if there is anything we can do to help her. Her foster mom, Theresa, says that Collette is still jumping up on things so that is good. Send some love to our little Collette!
When Chyna first came to Rescued Tails she was completely untrained, undersocialized and had zero self control. She had been sitting on death row at an animal control facility and was covered in her own feces. Today Chyna still has issues, but this little girl has come such a long way, and like so many dogs, all she wants to do is please her people. Here she is showing off some of her moves. Go Chyna!
Check out Molly's video, and make sure to turn up the volume! Molly is feeling better, and just like Rocky, she is "going the distance". Yo, Molly, you did it!
Molly may have cancer, kidney disease and a bum leg but that hasn't stopped her from doing the things she loves like....finding a new buddy to carry- the stuffed bear that has sat on a dresser for years. Go Molly!
Mabel woke up the other day all covered in big, bumpy hives and was doing the reverse sneezing and then proceeded to vomit. After a trip to the vet, a shot of a steriod and some benadryl she is feeling much better. Dr. Rupple believes that Mabel had an allergic reaction to something. Poor girl. She has been sleeping pretty well now - listen to her SNORE! Turn up the volume...
Remember Oliver, the feisty feline who liked to bite us? Look at him now! It's Oliver 2.0!
Time to celebrate - Molly turned 13 years old! Over the last 23 months Molly has beaten the odds of living with transistional cell carcinoma (bladder cancer). Our Miracle Molly is slowing down a bit, sleeps more, goes out to pee every few hours now and is a bit picky about her food, but she still enjoys her time outdoors and runs and jumps over snow banks. We are so thankful for the extra time we have had with Molly and cherish everyday. Give all your fur babies extra hugs. Happy Birthday Molly!
Here is our little orange guy, Oliver. He is the fiesty feline that came to us with a biting problem. We used the fencing to help teach him not to bite us - he would rub against the fence, and we would pet him through the fence. When he would turn to bite or scratch us, we would remove our fingers and walk away, removing all of our attention that he craved. Look at him now! We are still going slow and very cautious (cat bites are not fun to get...). Sorry, it's not the best video...it was a one person attempt.
Our Miracle Molly has encountered a few more medical issues recently, but that hasn't stopped her from working for treats! Actually all she has to do these days is look at us with those big brown eyes and she gets a treat (don't worry they are small). One year, eight months and 16 days since her cancer diagnosis and she can still outrun us in the fields. We love this little pit bull nugget so much and are so thankful to all who help her. A special shout out to vet tech Shannon at Northern Lakes Veterinary Clinic Shell Lake who now comes out to our place to get blood samples from Molly. Happy National Vet Tech week https://www.facebook.com/VetTechs?fref=ts to all the fabulous techs out there - we appreciate you!
Remember our little biter, Oliver? He is the orange dude who showed up at the sanctuary and bit into our rubber boot leaving deep punctures. Well, with lots of time, patience and training we have taught him not to bite us, and instead have taught him to play with toys. Still lots of work to be done, but you can see progress has been made -good boy Oliver!
