🐾💛 Early Sunday morning, Bourbon met his new family and made his way home with them. I got up at the crack of dawn to groom him one last time before the show. I'm thrilled to hear he's already settling in and making himself at home. He’s going to be a spoilt only dog, at least for a bit. I'm going to miss this sweet handsome boy. 🥹

Bourbon's incredible personality will continue to shine through his offspring in our program and beyond. He's been an absolute blessing to the Miniature American Shepherd breed, and his legacy will live on. 🐾❤️

🏆🐕 My Marzipan absolutely dazzled at the ASCU show in Farmington, Utah this weekend! I couldn't be more proud and grateful for her and everyone involved in her success.

On Friday, Marzi took home Reserve Winners Bitch under Judge Kristen Rush. And on Saturday, she went Best of Winners under both Judges Terri Burkart McIntosh and Shelby Shank, earning two 5-point majors!

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jennifer Cannon Hender and Alisha Curtis for their outstanding handling and grooming. Their dedication and skill are instrumental in Marzi's success.

Somehow I missed posting this girl on my page. I'm thrilled to introduce you to Vivian! Prestige PaintedBlue Vivifying Vision is a hold back pup from our co bred litter, and is co owned with our friends at Prestige Aussies. She is from the pairing of Topper and Autumn. This beautiful pup quite literally HAS IT ALL. She is the best combination of intelligence, a fun loving, sociable, confident temperament, and stunning looks. I am very excited about her future and can't wait to share more updates with you!

We are working towards her CGC and some trick titles, as well as gearing up for her show career. She has already earned a best puppy in show at her debut UKC event.

Damask is looking suave after his groom! At 8 months old, he's finished growing. He is a sweet and lovey little guy 🥹💗 Our goal for this boy, once he is old enough and passes his health testing, is to bring some smaller size genes into our Miniature American Shepherd breeding program. Not only does he bring a compact stature, but also adorable button ears! We're excited to see the positive impact Damask will have on future litters.

Thrilled to share that MAS Polly, UCH Painted Blue's Too Political, had a phenomenal day at the UKC show in Farmington, Utah under judge Kim Rowley! Not only did she win Best of Breed, but she also completed her UKC Championship with a Group 1 victory.

A huge thank you to April Bruce for capturing these wonderful moments on camera, and for her contributions alongside the Canyonlands Canine Association in organizing these fantastic UKC shows. It's always a joy to spend time with friends and celebrate our dogs together!

Ken is on a roll! 🐕🏅 Three shows down at the Canyonlands UKC event in Farmington, Utah, and he has been awarded Best Male in all three shows as well as Best of Winners on Friday. This happy boy has now earned his UKC CH and will move into the champion class tomorrow. Congratulations, Ken! 🎉

Retiring a beloved dog and from a breeding program is an emotional milestone, representing both a celebration of their contributions and a bittersweet goodbye. This step is for myself (Erika) the most emotionally challenging part of my journey as a breeder. This boy has been integral to the improvement of my dogs and program and I will forever be grateful to Rebecca Beckrich at Waterfall Australian and Miniature American Shepherds for allowing Bourbon to bless our program and this breed.

Today at the vet, a couple with a large doodle tried to have their dog "play" with Jagger. When I politely asked them not to, the man became upset and whisper-yelled at me and gave me angry eyes across the bench for the next 30 minutes. 😂 Meanwhile, his sweet wife doing her best to diffuse the situation. She told him to “shut up and quit acting like that.” She tried to make things better by complimenting Jagger. “He’s so cute! Is he a bernadoodle?”

We had a pleasant conversation about American shepherds despite her husband grumbling.

Reintroducing Lennon! Lennon is a blue merle male AKC Mini American Shepherd / ASDR Mini Australian Shepherd. He is 15 weeks old out of our Bourbon x Stevie cross and hoping his family is searching for him.

Lennon, the forest explorer, loves tagging along on family adventures. This goofy goober has been on a few hiking trips with the pack and our family, proving his reliability and excellent recall off leash as he naturally sticks close by. Fearless and curious, he confidently explores his surroundings, with frequent check ins to be sure we are still close. He loves water! Lennon adores children and has an easygoing nature with other dogs. He would be a fantastic addition to a variety of family settings.

Small breeding programs are welcome to inquire, and if you're near Salt Lake City, I am open to a partner/collaboration home.

I couldn't be more proud of my first bred-by, and I am incredibly grateful to Alisha Curtis for her grooming expertise and for stepping in to show Marzi when I couldn't be there. A huge thank you also goes out to Jennifer Cannon Hender for her help in handling Marzipan and to Jennifer and Cherrie Cannon for allowing me to pair Lucy with Liam to produce such an amazing pup. Yay, Marzi! 🎊

Ron loves to ham it up for giggles. He is a lovable goofball who’s always trying to get everyone to crack a smile with his silly moves.
