I got some big news! The kitty who needed his amputation (Kuruk) had his surgery Friday! He was doing well and recovering great last I heard. He's going to feel so much better without that painful leg. Can't wait for the next update! Thank you to my behind the scenes rescue partner for getting him in for surgery so quickly! It wasn't without its hurdles though. He did have to gain weight before he went under anesthesia. Luckily everything went fantastic and he is doing great. If I get any photos I will try to update you guys.
I also want to announce I do have a link tree up now. It has all of the ways you can donate. Please feel free to visit the link tree! I did put items on the Amazon wish list specifically for kuruk. Please take a look and feel free to donate I did make a new fundraiser as well for this month.

The Amazon wish list is live! Let's get these donations flowing so we can get assistance to this encampment while we work on our rescue plan!

Items towards the end of the list starting with the purple blanket are for kuruk the amputation cat featured in this video. All donations for him will be sent to where he is being fostered shortly after delivery to me. Let's spoil this pretty boy he deserves it after all he's been through. I will be calling in a couple days to see how his surgery went. 🥺😻🤞
****I will probably be adding things like flea treatment and ear mite treatment after I revisit the encampment.
I will be starting a fundraiser as well in the next couple of days to help cover medical costs of these animals.

This is a little bit more footage from today. The project that we are working on is rather huge. Donations can go to wags and whiskers or you can contact Angel M Herrera to donate to her directly. We did pick up Koda today. Hopefully he is strong enough for his amputation. He is truly a very sweet cat. I had absolutely no issues holding him for these photos. 🤞
For any of you following the story of the cat that needed the amputation this is the situation that I walked into a few days ago. I've been slowly behind the scenes working on getting resources together we are currently looking for donations and are going to be running a spay and neuter clinic for free for this encampment. I do not have a total headcount on how many dogs there are but there are at least 34 cats with this one woman and we have one of them in care waiting for blood work to see if he is going to be a good candidate for immediate amputation. We are currently calling him Koda. Seems like a fitting name for such a strong fighter. I will update you guys with photos as soon as I receive them from Angel M Herrera who currently has him in her care. There's is more than one medical case in this encampment. We're hoping to get them all seen as soon as possible.
As soon as I know the organization to donate to I will be updating everybody as well. I'm going to be posting up brand new Amazon wish list with supplies needed at the camp. I will bring in the physical donations as they are delivered.
Oh the things I go through for kitties. So apparently when I took that tumble I think I landed in not only fox tails and burrs but also poison oak. It's not going to deter me from Rescue at that colony location but I'm definitely wearing a long sleeve shirt next time. Also I stuck my face in it at the entrance to the cave the kittens were hiding in so I'm going to look forward to that over the next week or so. I literally said I'm pretty sure that's poison oak. But I'm terrible at identifying plants so I just stuck my face in it anyway. 🤦 It's not like I had much of an option I had to get the kittens. Everybody bear with me so I complain about my life at work lol. I can't call out this week because two people requested days off for vacations. I'm stuck here miserable and itchy.
Foxtail kitten has been successfully trapped! He or she will be going to the vet soon.
To ensure the comfort and well-being of the charming foxtail kitten, we are reaching out for donations of blankets, soft bedding, dry food, wet food, and engaging cat toys. The kitten, as seen in the video below, will be in its foster home and needs your support to feel safe and loved. Your generosity will help us provide a nurturing environment for this adorable creature. Every contribution is valuable and brings us closer to giving the kitten the care it needs and deserves.
The fundraiser is still going to cover all it's medical expenses. Please consider donating there as well.
