Thank you everyone for your incredible support on Facebook and personal texts both before and after the airing of 'Around Town' on WGN yesterday morning. I can’t say it enough how much I appreciate all of you. We had such a great time at Stone City Kennel Club and huge thanks to Mike Toomey, Natalie, Mary and Philip from WGN-TV who made it all possible and were amazing individuals and helped all of us feel comfortable throughout the live telecast. I’m excited to share the news that I recently was elected to the Board of Stone City Kennel Club in New Lenox, IL.

On Monday, May 13, 2024 between 7 am -10:00 a.m., Stone City Kennel Club will be featured on WGN TV’s “All Around Town” segment. I’ve also been invited to appear on one of the segments (around 8:20) to talk about canine massage which I’m really excited about. If you’ve never heard of Stone City Kennel Club, please check it out. They have a lot of great classes for dogs as well as great seminars.

Today, I'd like to introduce you to another great and amazing fellow author from our upcoming "Shine Your Light" Book. I've had the pleasure of seeing Jill Ore on our monthly calls and Facebook and I know you will love to read her story. Please meet Jill Ore.

Meet Jill Ore
A divorce, an empty nest, and retirement from a 32-year hospital pharmacy career had Jill Ore wondering what came next. During an unfolding pandemic, she left her home state of Wisconsin to become head lighthouse keeper at White Shoal Lighthouse located offshore in northern Lake Michigan. Tending the lighthouse taught her to tend the light within. She discovered that it was possible to restore meaning and purpose in her own life, despite the storms that had blown her off course.

I'm so excited that our "Shine Your Light" book launch is getting closer and closer. Over the next several weeks, I will be introducing you to all the amazing and incredible women that will be featured in our "Shine Your Light" book. The first author I would like to introduce is my accountability partner, Cami Foerster, that has been such an inspiration to me since the start of this amazing and exciting journey since the beginning of the year. In July, Cami was traveling across country and made a stop in Illinois so we would have the chance to meet. It was such a pleasure to meet her and now I would like you to meet her as well.

Meet Cami Foerster

Cami Foerster traded her childhood stomping grounds of northern California for the majestic Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The fifty-year journey has been filled with spiritual learning, miles of road-tripping, and countless shared cups of coffee (or whiskey) with
friends. Her compulsion to help others has been a blessing and a curse, especially when the joy of helping meets her lack of attention to self-care. Through it all, she found selah, the rest, reflection, and gratitude that rescued her when the stress of holding her world
together caused her to crumble apart. Now, she is living her Selah Journey and connecting with other weary souls so they can do the same.
