Courtesy post: Look at this pirate panther! OMG!!!
Figgy Newton has been with us for exactly 6 months today. This beautiful, 5 year old girl, has had quite the glow up, from starving, heat stroke-ridden and sporting a massively infected glaucoma eye ball, to the silky and confident house panther that she is now. She’s such a sweetheart and a real cuddle bug, always wrapping herself around her foster mom on the couch to be as close as possible. If only the perfect adopters would come along and give her the happily ever after she so deserves. While we receive adoption applications every single day, looking for the perfect kitty companion, it seems something is causing these potential adopters to pass on Figgy. Figgy Newton is FeLV+ which means she was exposed to Feline Leukemia during her time outdoors. While this means Figgy needs to live in a home without other cats, unless they also happen to be FeLV+, it doesn’t mean that she is sick. Figgy has no symptoms of illness and is an all around healthy and happy girl! Kitties with FeLV can have a very good prognosis and live long, normal lives, indoors where they aren’t exposed to other illnesses that could compromise their immune system. We think adopting an FeLV+ cat is truly special and just like other special needs kitties, these cats deserve to have the same opportunities for an amazing family! Please help the gorgeous Figgy find her people by sharing this post and if you’re interested in adopting, complete an application on our website. 🖤🐈⬛
