I had a scare last night with my dog Grace that had me run to the ER vet in Cooper Creek. I thought she may have been bitten by a snake, and thank goodness, it was not a bite. I do want to share this information about what to look for if suspicious of a snake bite. I was told that a snake bite is extremely painful and your dog would react to any touching or cleaning of the area. Snake bites will continue to bleed . Also, there will be considerable swelling . If in doubt, be safe and take them for immediate attention. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff at the ER clinic that was so kind, professional and calming when I was so worried.

I am so happy to share that the two dogs I found in my neighborhood the other day were re united with the owner later that same day!!!!:) Great news , happy endings yippee!!

I was walking my dogs this morning and found 2 dogs running loose , no tags, but sweet! An older male boxer with a wonderful gray snout and a Bernese mountain dog mix, non nuetered I think, but kind. I called Sarasota animal control and they picked them up promptly and found a chip in the boxer so hopefully, they will be reunited with their family. They must live somewhere off of Desoto/Longwood run area, so if anyone knows who they belong to!!
