Anchor Your Tree Securely
Cats love to climb, and a wobbly tree is an irresistible challenge. Use a sturdy tree stand and anchor your tree to the wall with fishing line or discreet hooks to prevent it from toppling over if your curious feline decides to explore.
Choose Cat-Safe Decorations
Avoid using tinsel, which can be dangerous if ingested, and opt for shatterproof ornaments instead of glass ones. Place fragile or sentimental decorations higher on the tree, out of your catโs reach, and secure all ornaments tightly to branches.
Protect Wires and Lights
Cats might chew on electrical cords, which is a serious hazard. Use cord protectors or wrap exposed wires with plastic tubing to keep your kitty safe. Opt for LED lights, as they donโt heat up as much, reducing the risk of burns.
