They are the front lines answering the emotional phone calls, and the ones who will help calm your nerves as you are waiting for your furbabies to be seen by the clinical team.

They are sunshine and empathy ☀️
They are incredible multitaskers 🗂️
They are amazing…well, at least I can confidently say that ours are! ❤️

This post is a bit off topic from our typical animal centric posts…

However, a family in our local Southern New Hampshire community has endured a great tragedy and is suffering a tremendous loss.

Our hearts are aching for the Gee family and the Litchfield community.

If you are in a position to be able to donate anything at all it would be greatly appreciated, I am sure.

On February 20th, 2024, a two-alarm fire broke out at a home in Litchfield, NH and firefighters arrived on the scene at 8 am. There were heavy flames and smoke coming from the home.

First responders were not able to enter the house to attempt rescue due the size of flames and extent of structural damage. One of the residents, Janet Gee, was in the home and was not able to make it out in time and perished in the fire. The two family dogs did make it out of the home. Janet was a beloved wife, mom, grandmother, sister, friend, and community member. Her impact reached far across the community as she worked with the children at the local elementary school for 20+ years and was heavily involved in her church community too. Her husband, who was not home at the time of the fire, is an above-the-knee amputee who requires assistance. Janet leaves behind her husband, two siblings, three children and their spouses, three grandchildren.

The house and all of the belongings inside are completely destroyed and nothing is salvageable.

The Greg Hill Foundation will match up to $5,000 and cover all credit card transaction fees.
