It is painful to write this, but after 12 years in business a Walkin’ and a Waggin’ is officially closed. Thank you for trusting us in your homes with your pets. We truly appreciate the support you have given us. We have met so many amazing people and pets through the years. Give your fur babies a squeeze for me & let them know that I think of them often. We've heard some troubling stories from veterinarians and shelters around the country where people are abandoning their pets for fear of COVID-19 transmission.

Currently, there is no evidence that supports transmission between domestic pets and people. Please do not make impulsive, life-changing decisions regarding your pets. ✨

A nightmare became reality for Nikki Mael when her five dogs began acting strange minutes after digging into a can of Evanger’s pet food on New Year’s Eve 2016. The Washougal, Washington resident and her family raced to the vet’s office, where Talula the dog soon passed away.

Over 100 children/pets were killed in 2018 from hot vehicles. This is too high and preventable.

Illinois does not protect good samaritans when saving pets from hot vehicles, so please call 911 and wait for authorities before taking matters into your own hands.

If the victim is extremely distressed and it's a life or death situation, gather witnesses before taking immediate action.
