Update: Two more rugs to do then ALL are at the ruggers for felt work. Their current turn around time is 8-12 weeks so *fingers crossed* they should be back before estimated turn around times.

Still waiting on the LS coyote to be picked up… just a reminder 30 days after notification from me is the MAX I will hold a mount for before storage fees kick in (per my contact which everyone signs at drop off). 90 days and it becomes mine.

With the fawns dropping now some will unfortunately become victim to vehicles just FYI- you must obtain a possession permit from DEC or a LEO for me to mount a fawn for you. They also must be in good condition and fresh. Freeze whole asap or get ahold of me to schedule drop off that day!

A few bear heads rehydrating for head installation. They are already turned, fleshed, and tanned. Then they are rehydrated for prep work, and taxidermy. After they are sent to my rugger for stretching and rugging. They return to me for finish work and out the door they go as a beautiful rug for floor or wall display! At this point they always look like they just fell in the sink. 😂

Another Day Another Deer.

A fast version of my day mounting a deer. Notice anything weird about this one’s ears?

It's bear season for Northern Zone NY! Many say they would never shoot a bear, or once they have they would never again. Rumors are they are greasy and stringy. This is NOT TRUE! We prefer bear meat over deer any day! They key is get the hide off ASAP, get the fat off ASAP and get it cool- don't leave it hanging outside in the sun and warm temps. Put a hard earned trophy on the wall, meat in your freezer, and render down that fat to cook with throughout the year! Get ahold of me if you are concerned about skinning. (Remember for lifesize mounts use the DORSAL CUT, Rugs are heel to heel, up the belly and wrist to wrist.)

Those that guessed honey badger in the last post is correct!! Stay tuned for the finished habitat and mount in a couple weeks!

Holy Smokes! It’s been 2 years now it’s time to hammer out a few fish replicas! Don’t worry… I’ve still got it and there will be some cool videos to come! First up a much anticipated HUGE walleye! 🐠

Quick shop update! Over 100 deer finished, some new critters were working on, completed euros and a reminder to be sure and visit Dunhams Bay Fish and Game club 9-1pm tomorrow (Saturday) for their first annual Sportsman’s flea market!

Todays project! Put together Mike G’s coyote. Finish work in a couple weeks. 👍

Naturally Wild Taxidermy was established in Alaska. After many successful years we have relocated to our home state of New York. We have a temporary shop set up in Queensbury while we build our new shop and home in North Creek. We continue to serve all states, however proper documentation will be required to be shown prior to receiving work. Be sure to adhere to your state laws regarding fish and game. We look forward to creating a custom mount for you!
