My name is James but I've been a Jamie all my life.
I am a 1982 graduate of UC Davis. I initially practiced at the racetracks
in the Bay Area for about 2 years.
Since 1984 I have been a solo equine-only practitioner.
I practiced in the Napa area for 20 years.
In Napa, along with my general practice,
I was also involved with the breeding program at
Rapp Quarter Horse Ranch where Jeff Oswood stood 8 stallions
and we bred about 200 mares per breeding season.
In 2001 I moved to Sonoma County where I have continued
my equine veterinary practice. I continue to enjoy what
I do for a living.
Every day I touch and smell a horse is a good day.
I have also been involved with endurance riding since 1986,
vetting rides, including the Tevis and other well-known
50 and 100 mile rides.
As an endurance rider I currently have 5005 endurance miles.
