Welcome to Dog Training With Becca!
Dog Training With Becca is privately owned by Becca Hurst. I am a professional dog trainer (In training) working towards my certification. I offer in-home and virtual comprehensive training services, as well as a wide spectrum of training methods, focusing primarily on a nice healthy dose of positive reinforcement.
I've been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember. I was the kid living out in the country, bringing home and caring for stray cats and dogs, and finding them good homes. I have always found that I related to animals more than the people in my life and knew from a very young age that I wanted to spend my life working with them.
Throughout the years, I became involved in many animal rescue endeavors. Eventually, I began fostering litters of kittens, and a variety of dogs that were in need. Finally one day, a wonderful job opportunity was offered to me: a position as a Kennel Attendant in a dog daycare and boarding facility. I immediately accepted, as at long last, I had taken a step in the official direction of where I wanted to go in life - no more retail or food service for me. This was it - my calling.
I began as a Kennel Attendant, learning as much as I possibly could on my journey. As I got to know more dogs and develop lasting relationships with them, as well doing my best at the facility to make sure things ran well and the dogs and owners were happy, I began offering free pet photography. I had always dabbled with a lot of hobby photography outdoors in nature, so I figured...why not? If I had the opportunity, as a pet parent, to have pictures of my little furry family while they were at play, I'd love it! So thus began my portfolio - taking pictures of the dogs I worked with every day.
