Sophie waited for her walker, Skye, to arrive. She was patiently snuggled on the couch while her housemate, Eddie, was curled comfortably in his kennel. They were both mixed breed pups with warm chocolate coats and they looked remarkably similar in many ways despite having vastly differing heights. Both rescues from different places, Sophie was short and stocky while Eddie was tall and lanky!
Today, Sophie got to enjoy her adventure first. Once geared up, she knew exactly where to go and proudly led Skye out of the house, her tail wagging contentedly as she headed up the hill along the familiar route.

The grass at the shoulder of the road had once been green, but now lay brown, dried first by late summer, and then pushed down by winter's rains and winds. Winter brought a lot of rain to the neighborhood, some would say perhaps too much, but it did nothing to dampen Sophie's spirits as she kept a keen eye out for crows. Finally, she spotted one, watching it for a few moments, tilting her head in curiosity. With that, she turned to lead Skye back home. In her mind, a job was done, and it was time to go home and get cozy.

Eddie was excited to hear the two return and barked in anticipation of his walk, as Sophie hopped up on the couch to look out the window. She watched the two leave down the road, but was content. She knew when they returned that the best was yet to come! Sure enough, when Eddie and Skye came back through the door, they headed right to the back where the treat jar was located. Happily, Sophie and Eddie did tricks, spinning and hopping, and handing out lots of kisses, content with yet another wonderful visit!

Remy, the spirited Black Labrador, bounded into Antigone's home, his eyes gleaming with excitement and a tennis ball already clutched tightly in his jaws. From the moment he arrived, it was clear that Remy had one mission—play ball! Without hesitation, he trotted over, dropping the ball at Antigone's feet with an expectant tail wag. The game was on.

Every room became his personal playground as he chased after the ball with unrelenting enthusiasm. Whether it bounced off the walls or rolled under the couch, Remy was determined to retrieve it. The backyard was his favorite spot. With every throw, he sprinted across the grass, leaping mid-air to catch the ball, landing with the grace only a Labrador could muster. His joyful bark echoed through the yard, inviting everyone to join in the fun.

But even Remy had his quieter moments. After countless rounds of fetch, he'd finally plop down on a soft rug, ball still resting between his paws, eyes slowly drooping shut. For a moment, the house would be still—until the slightest rustle would snap him awake, ready for another round.

Remy's infectious energy filled our home with laughter and joy. His love for play reminded us how much happiness a simple game of fetch can bring.

When Kenneth arrived for Juno's daily walk, the smooth coated, red dog was trembling with excitement, whimpers heralding her friend's arrival. Juno is quite well behaved and content to wait at home until her family comes home from work, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't adore her daily walks!

Some days the excitement of exploring the neighborhood is just too much. Somewhere in her mixed ancestry, a hound caught a whiff of something interesting and just like that, the two were off, Juno straining at the lead as she tracked whatever caught her interest.

The excitement lead the pair down the hill and to a nearby path, Juno pausing every few seconds to survey her surroundings, before putting her nose back to the ground. Today, her efforts were rewarded when a squirrel zoomed down a fence alongside their trail walk. Juno whipped her head around to watch it, but in just a blink, it was already gone.

Other than interesting smells and the single squirrel, the walk was quiet, calm, and peaceful and the two were even rewarded with a brief burst of sunshine through the late December gray, right before heading back home.

The rain had been a pervasive drizzle over the city as the walker arrived in the historic Everett neighborhood. Schultzy the spunky miniature schnauzer was alone today, and ready to get out. Although he had a lot to say about the occasion, he stood politely to be geared up and happily struck out onto the damp pavement to explore the neighborhood.

The two wound their way up steep and quiet streets, Schultzy trotting along, his ears pricked with interest towards every sight and sound. When a dog came running up to the fence barking, Schultzy leapt fiercely to meet him but his walker urged him onwards and upwards through the neighborhood. They wandered their way past brick dwellings and interesting yard art until they stopped at the top of the hill next to a mansion with windows full of leaded glass. The road curved away before them, revealing Puget Sound spread gray below them, the boats and docks looking like miniatures from their vantage point.

After taking in the view, they wandered back home where Schultzy paused on the steps into the house before being let in, demanding scratches, and tilting his head all the way back to get a neck rub. Schultzy may be small, but he knows how to live large!

Today, Orville decided to take charge at Four Legged Fun Zone! 🐕 Despite being the smallest in his group of six, his voice carried the loudest as he kept everyone “in line” with his charmingly bossy attitude. 🐶✨

🐾 KJ’s Thoughtful Day 🌟

KJ, our playful German Shorthaired Pointer, had a quieter day at daycare today. Even with her best buddy Mitch by her side, she seemed a little distracted, letting out soft whimpers now and then. 🐶💕

We’re not sure what caught her attention—maybe the sounds of activity outside or just a reflective mood—but it reminded us how every dog has their own way of processing the world. 🧐✨

As Megan arrived to walk Betty, she had trouble finding the beautiful senior golden retriever at first. Her home was undergoing some construction, but after a quick walk around, Betty was found in the upstairs office, waiting at the door with her velvety ears pricked forward.

As soon as she was let out, she ran right down to the door out of her room and waited somewhat impatiently to be geared up for her little adventure.

Outside, the December air was crisp and cool and the fog of the past week had well cleared away, leaving the pair with glimpses of sparkling blue sky over Puget Sound and the whitecapped peaks of the Olympics across the water.

They made their way south down Grand Avenue, enjoying the garden-like environment of the historic Everett neighborhood. Betty waved her tail as she walked along. She would stop to sniff every once in a while, but she was a very good girl and behaved perfectly.

As the two turned to head back home, Betty's pace quickened. As much as she enjoyed her daily outings, her favorite part of the walk was always the end... when she knew that she would be getting her lunch! As soon as they had made it back inside Betty waited politely by her bowl, quivering with excitement. Closing the door, Megan slipped away as Betty gobbled up her meal, content as can be.

As Megan the backup walker arrived at Bella's home, the UPS driver was doing the same. He passed the package through the gate as she walked up and opened the door to greet Bella, who had gone to hide at the approach of the UPS man. Though Bella, a beautiful black shepherd mix, had been dashing to hide, the moment she saw Megan she dipped her head and wagged her tail, excited at the presence of a friend.

Getting her leash, Megan called Bella over and gave her a few reassuring pats before heading out the door into the historic downtown Everett neighborhood. They passed antique shops, quaint little cafes, and museums before heading down to the end of Hewitt and viewing a historical marker along docks before turning and heading up the hill to go back home.

While Bella loves her walks and behaves so well while on them, her favorite part is getting a treat when she comes home. Once back through the door, Bella instantly transforms from quiet and polite, to wild and excitable as she dances around and then sits, her nose sniffing towards the treat jar. With great enthusiasm she does any trick asked, and then bounces over to her "place" on her bed. Bella is the best girl!

In December, Murphy the Golden Retriever and Hammy the Bernese Mountain Dog found themselves at the center of an unexpected Christmas escapade. Their walker elf had arrived, ready for a stroll, but as fate (and a pair of tricky harnesses) would have it, their adventure took a different turn. The elf, more accustomed to reindeer harnesses, decided a festive potty break in the yard would be the perfect alternative to their usual walk.

Murphy, ever the social butterfly, seized the moment in the backyard, wagging his tail like a candy cane baton. His warm, golden coat glistened against the gray day, and if you squinted just right, you might’ve mistaken him for Santa’s reindeer-in-training. Hammy, big, fluffy, and oh-so-regal, took on the role of the wise and gentle overseer. With his signature “drive-bys” for attention and a final triumphant plop onto the elf's foot for optimal butt scratches, he basked in the affection, his soulful eyes twinkling like the North Star.

Together, they transformed the backyard into a scene worthy of a holiday tale. Murphy's boundless enthusiasm and Hammy's calm, cuddly presence balanced each other perfectly, like Santa’s most trusted helpers enjoying a well-earned break before the big night. Though there were no harnesses or sleds, they delivered something far better: joy, laughter, and a reminder that the best holiday moments often come from simply being together.

As the session wrapped up, one thing was clear: Murphy and Hammy didn’t need reins or a sleigh to bring the holiday spirit—they carried it in their hearts.

💔 It’s with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of Chance, the beloved "Director of Love and Fun." Chance, my sweet senior Chocolate Lab, was more than just a cherished pet—he was a part of the heart and soul of Tailored Pet Services. 🐾❤️

From his sunny lounge chair in the yard to his endless enthusiasm for car rides and snacks, Chance brought joy and warmth to everyone who crossed his path. He reminded us daily of the simple pleasures in life and the unconditional love dogs bring to our lives.
