Whispering Rise Farm & Animal Sanctuary We are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide sanctuary to surrendered and We rescued and placed our first pigs in October 2011.

We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization for charitable purposes. Whispering Rise is located on 6 acres in northern Baltimore County, Maryland.

The pigs got a real treat when about 30 coconuts were included in the produce donation. The coconuts need to be cracked open, or the pigs will ignore them. Then they scrape the fruit off the shell and even lap up the coconut water. Several of the pigs, including The Yearlings and Blanche and Posey, preferred the coconuts over anything else available.
