Zoey was visiting from Key West and needed several walks, one of which was at noon. I usually discourage midday walks in blistering heat and sun, but they didn’t have a yard.

I carried a clean wash rag with a Yeti cup full of cold water in a cross-over bag. This way, I could cool down her paws with the rag, and she could drink too. The location was mostly hot asphalt, so I came prepared.

Before our walk, I gently massaged her paws with Pawtection
, then followed up with their Paw Soother once we got back. Both products are incredible—made with all-natural butters, oils, and waxes that absorb beautifully without leaving waxy paw prints all over wood floors.

I’m at the mechanic and have everything I need to be productive while waiting, except Manheim has other ideas.

He’s the shy loner type who keeps to himself so this is new behavior for him. He’s kneading (send armor!), purring and napping, all at once.

Guess productivity can wait—when a cat like Manheim chooses you, you stay put.

🐶✨ Mirror, mirror on the wall… who’s the funniest pup of them all? ✨🐶

Ever caught your dog barking at the mirror, or giving serious side-eye to their own reflection? You’re not alone — and your pup’s not losing it (well, not more than usual ).

Most dogs don’t recognize themselves in mirrors. Instead, they see a strange dog who has:
- No smell
- Suspiciously good timing (copycat, much?)
- Zero manners

To your pup, it’s like a magic portal to a silent, scentless twin — and that’s super suspicious in dog world.

Dogs rely way more on their noses than their eyes to understand the world. So, a reflection that looks like a dog but doesn’t smell like a dog? Nah, hard pass. 🚫

Eventually, most pups stop reacting once they realize the “mirror dog” is boring and not stealing their treats.

Remy is living proof that bully breeds are wildly misunderstood.

This sweet guy is gentle, patient, and incredibly doting—he’s that dog who cries when we’re leaving.
The truth is, these breeds aren’t malicious by nature. Any aggression is usually a learned response to past trauma, not an inherent trait.

More often than not, they’re d***y & goofy lovebugs who have no idea how intimidating they look.
In their minds, they’re lapdogs—trying to squeeze into a lap that’s too small for them so they can drool while dreaming (true story).

In fact, they’re one of the most consistently loving breeds we spend time with. ♥️

Developers plan to build 20,000+ homes on land zoned for conservation!

This affects all of us, including the wildlife.
Final vote is next Tuesday- there’s power in numbers! This is a great opportunity for our voices to be heard!

If you’re paying attention, animals will teach you everything that matters.

Biscuit & Kira are all about hugs. Those days when they annoy each other? They hug it out.

They’re our muses for the day.

Today they’ve inspired me to slow it down, be more present and hug A LOT.

We got a heartbreaking call today. One of our pets passed this morning from eating a plant in the yard.

His organs shut down and he was in excruciating pain. This is the third animal in the last few months who ate plants from their yard but thankfully, the other two pulled through.

Let’s keep our curious explorers safe.

Spring is here, and so are seasonal allergies! Umph

Is your pet itchy, licking, or biting their paws?

Here’s a DIY that’s all-natural and works great!

Add 12 stinging nettle tea bags, 6 green tea bags, and 6 peppermint tea bags to one gallon of simmering water. Remove from the heat and let it cool, then remove the tea bags.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days!

This soothing soak has anti-inflammatory and allergy-fighting properties that reduce the symptoms of allergies and inflammation.

It can also be used in a spray bottle to tackle their entire body! For those pets who dislike being sprayed, add the solution to your hands and massage it into their skin!
