Getting your dogs nails done on a regular basis is very important. Long nails are very painful and uncomfortable for your pup to walk on, and it can cause them to walk in an abnormal way which can lead to worse problems with their joints, foot structure and it’s easier for injury to happen. In worse situations the nail can completely curl and grow right into their paw pad, which I included a picture of a dog I groomed yesterday who had their dewclaws growing right into the pad which is now an open wound that can now become infected. Some dogs that are very active, or are frequently walking on rough terrain don’t need their nails trimmed as frequently and sometimes not at all, but for the average dog I’d like them to get their nails done on a monthly basis, which is why we have our monthly nail trim events! Our next event is next Saturday at Stanley mill from 9-1!

We will still be at Stanley Mill Antiques tomorrow from 9-1 in the rain!! We have a pop up tent for when you are waiting in line or if your pet is in the van getting their nails done. If the line is too big, or your pup doesn’t like being around other dogs you are able to wait in your car until your turn and we will come get you! I also put some before and after pictures of the paw pad shaving service, and a couple before and after nail trims!

A couple pictures from todays nail trim event! Unfortunately, we made a tough decision today to no longer come to Happy tails Market for nail trim events. It was a tough call as we’ve loved meeting all your pets over the last couple months! We will still be going to Stanley Mill Antiques in Uxbridge (next event this upcoming Saturday!) if anyone still wants to come to one of our pop up events! Thank you to everyone who was able to make our events in Bellingham , it was great to meet everyone❤️
