Meet Bubba. Typical Lhasa - loves to play with toys and other dogs. Has had training and needs someone with experience with head strong Lhasa’s. Give him and inch and he’ll take a mile. He’s only been here a couple days and we’ve got him sitting and waiting to be released from his crate and in/out doors. He is a quick learner and would do well in a home that is very active.

Sweet little Buster is ready for a family to call his very own forever. His bio is long but accurate 😃.

Do you need a self esteem boost or someone to love you 100% of the time with his entire heart? If so, Buster may be the guy for you.

Buster came into the group from the shelter where he and 9 others were surrendered from the same home. He was filthy, had a little hair loss due to fleas, and was a little underweight. Despite maybe not having been in the best of circumstances previously, this guy is only on this earth to love his humans.

If you’re not looking for devotion, then keep on scrolling. Buster wants to be where his people are, sitting on the couch with you, sleeping on you, or tossing a toy in your vicinity. He’s playful and affectionate. He likes all people and is fostered in a home with mom, dad, 3 kids and other dogs. He is happy as can be with all the commotion of a busy household, but he’s also content just relaxing when the kids are at school and mom’s working from home. He also enjoys ALL the doggie toys, and he’ll bring them up in the couch and hang out in the pile of toys.

He is crate-trained at night time and when the family leaves the house. He wasn’t a fan at first, but he’s quiet now. When he’s kept on schedule, his housetraining is perfect. He doesn’t quite know cues of going to the door or signaling just yet, so you just have to let him in the backyard periodically and tell him to go potty. The other dogs don’t play with him too often, but one of the resident pups recently started to engage, and they’ll run circles around the backyard together. While he’d probably love another playful pup, he also seems like he’d be happy as can be with people who love him as much as he loves them. Did I mention this guy likes to snuggle, cuddle, spoon or be a dog scarf around your shoulders?

Meet Wolfie. This little guy had major orthopedic surgery since arriving into the group. He was supposedly hit by a car, requiring two plates to put his bones back in place for healing. While we have received some assistance from the shelter, we’re still hoping to raise another $2700 to help us in defraying more of the surgery costs. Anything helps 🙏❤️

Truffle is scheduled to have surgery to correct a luxating patella and possible ACL repair (that’ll be a surgery day decision once the vet has a good look) in order to get her ready for a forever home.

As with most things these days, orthopedic surgeries are more expensive than they used to be, and Truffle’s is estimated to be at least $1500. If you are to make a tax-deductible donation to help us pay for her surgery, we’d be grateful 😊

The cone life is rough.

Lucky had his surgery today which included a major dental (a couple broken teeth, growth in his mouth, and general cleanup on a senior dude) and several masses removed on his body, one of which that will be sent out for cytology info.

His total surgery bill is $1535 and less the $640 in donations received so far, we’re looking to raise another $895 if you’d like to make a tax-deductible donation to this little man’s care.

In about 2 weeks, Lucky should have his stitches removed on and we’ll into the way to full recovery…and ready for his forever home ❤️

Hi Everyone - Meet Lucky. Lucky was recently owner surrendered to the group. This 10-12 year old dude is an absolute doll. He’s in need of a cancerous mass to be removed along with a dental, and he’s scheduled for surgery on July 22nd. He also has a humongous abdominal hernia, but we’re going to focus on the ‘must do’ procedures. His low end estimate is $1100, and high end is $2200. If you can contribute to his surgical costs, we’d greatly appreciate it. We’re looking forward to getting him fixed up and ready to spend his golden years with a family who will love him as much he’ll no doubted love them back.

Hi All - Maxine (brown) and Violet (fawn with black) will be available for adoption in one week.

They are pug/poodles (google for images, and you’ll see it, I swear!). They were born on February 2nd, so will be about 14-15 weeks next week and fully vetted. They are both inquisitive and smart. They’re playful and love toys. They love all people, including children. Like all puppies, they’ll be working on housetraining for a bit, but they do well outside for potty breaks and love treats for doing their business. Any questions, please let us know. They are shy of 6 lbs now, and the vet guesstimated they’ll be around 10-12 lbs when fully grown.

The standard Adoption Fee is $200. Adoption fees for puppies, elderly, and special needs dogs are determined on a case by case basis and will be posted in their bio if they differ from the standard fee. Poor old Addy has an entourage of foster puppies. The 4 puppies are accompanied by Pepper who is officially available for adoption 😊. Puppies won’t be ready for another 6-ish weeks or so.

Say hello to some new cuties! These pups were surrendered together, and parents are supposedly purebred pug (dad) and poodle (mom) 🤔. At just 6 weeks old, they’re already nearly 5 lbs and will be with us for another 6-8 while getting fully vetted. All 4 are female. Daisy has a malformed front leg that will be evaluated to determine its orthopedic outcome, but she gets around well outside during playtime. Stayed tuned for more updates!

Cami is officially ready for a forever home to call her own.

Age: 1 yr
Weight: 13 lbs
Adoption fee: $200

Cami is ready to find her forever family and share her endless love with them. She is energetic and playful, but she’s also a great lap/couch dog, too. She enjoys playing fetch and playing with toys. She gets along well with the dogs in her foster home, but she is a bit dominant. Her play behavior has improved tremendously with guidance on ‘leave it’ when she was too interested in the senior poodle resident who doesn’t want to play. She’s transferred that playfulness to her similarly aged foster siblings, and they’ll run around the house and backyard together.

Cami enjoys zoomies in the backyard and sunbathing. She has made a friend with a squirrel outside that plays games with her…he plays peekaboo…she barks…he runs down on the ground toward her…she chases him back up the tree.

Cami is 100% house trained, and she’s crate trained when her family is away from the house and overnight.

Although Cami is in a home with 3 kids, her foster mom thinks she’d be best in a home without kids. She is protective of her people, and she has grumbled at one of the kiddos when the child came to hug her parent. She also protects that same kiddo, so he has a quick transference of who she should be protecting at any given time. She does like to bark at the Amazon delivery person who leaves packages by her front door, so she’d make an excellent watchdog for her forever family, too.

Cami is very affectionate and will freely give kisses. She’ll let you hold her like a baby and rub her belly. She is a good girl, and she’s learning so much every single day. She’d likely be a perfect addition to an active person who likes to walk or run, or to a home that has a backyard to get out those zoomies in between snoozing.

When three out of four dogs on you are your fosters, you feel pretty special 🥰.

Cami (brindle) will be meeting her foster mom’s parents this weekend to see if she may be a match for their home.

Maci (human kids in foster home tonight naming 2 dogs with same letters was cool) is the longhaired gal with more brown in the front of picture. She is almost a week post-spay and will be ready for adoption in another week or so.

Pepper (shoulder pup) will also be ready for adoption in another week or so.

Thor (longhaired with brown ears) was a foster fail, and he’s not going anywhere 🙂.

Ask questions if you have them about these gals, and adopt adopt adopt! This foster mama needs to let her own pups get some more lap time asap, and these foster girls deserve awesome forever homes where they’ll be cherished 😊.

This is Maci, and this sweet girl will be available for adoption later in February once fully vetted. Maci is approx 1 yr old and 5 1/2 lbs.

She is ALL puppy, and she will need someone to work with her to encourage better manners…like not jumping up and down on legs incessantly and perfecting house-training, etc. She is learning crate-training and doing well though.

She is incredibly loving and loves all people, including children and men. She likes playing with the younger dogs in her foster home. When she’s tired, she’s an excellent lap dog and snuggler.

Our brindle newbie has been named Cami by her foster family since she’s a little bit like camouflage.

She’ll be ready for adoption once spayed in a couple weeks. In the meantime, she’s enjoying playing by herself while the ‘old’ resident dogs lounge around.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led the civil rights movement for a more equal America, opening the eyes of many to the disparities amongst people of color and their fellow citizens. Although efforts are still underway even today for equality, progress is being made.

Betty White would be celebrating her 100th birthday. She has also been a supporter of equal rights in the entertainment industry. As animal advocates, we highlight her contributions of time and money to animals of all kinds. If you’ve not heard of the , animal nonprofit organizations around the country are asking folks to donate $5 in her honor to their favorite organizations. We are hoping some of you may include Small Chance Rescue in your support.

Hello friends! We have a new foster to the group who is quite unique - check out those stripes! Her foster family is still debating her name (Betty White, Lollipop, Tigger, and many many more contenders)…

She’s approximately one year old and 12 pounds, and she’s believed to be a chihuahua/Italian greyhound mix. Whatever she is, she’s cute and wants to be with the adults in the house (still trying to figure out the smaller humans 🤔).

She’ll be ready after her upcoming spay surgery, but in the meantime, welcome to the new girl!
