This poor kitty was found in really bad shape. A kind person has taken her in and trying to help her. Lots of medical issues going on.
If anyone can help with donations, her new family would greatly appreciate the help.
During her x-ray today we noticed she was shot with a BB gun. Those are the white dots on the x-ray. Poor baby girl has had a tough go of it 🐾 ♥️

At Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital we can help you navigate preparing for treatments if necessary such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery, which may be used to stop the spread of cancer and remove or destroy cancer cells and tumors.

Regular veterinary visits in addition to your knowledge of your pet can help us keep track of what is normal for your pet, as well as catch any potential issues. However, because we typically only see your dog or cat once or twice a year, we rely on your knowledge of your pet to help work together to catch any potential issues early.

Here’s a PSA for our followers! We invite you to support the future of our small business through our online store. In our online store we carry: flea, tick, and heartworm medication, food, pain relief, allergy support, supplements, treats and chews, and other supplies! Costs should be close to equivalent to what you’d find elsewhere, and still with the convenience you would expect when ordering online! Ordering through our online store can make a huge long term difference for our practice.

Check out some of the reasons why:
⬇️
A veterinarian shared this,
“I just spent 30 minutes going through Chewy prescriptions, approving most, denying a few that were the wrong size, etc. These are all medications I sell in my practice. I have to do roughly 30 minutes of work so Chewy can make a sale and profit.

I totaled up all the meds: if we had dispensed all the prescriptions the total would come to $376.82. The Chewy price came to $461.38 for all. So, your local vet just did 30 minutes of work without pay so that owners could save a total of $15.44, between 5 individual owners. That’s almost $500 in one day. For a small business that comes out to almost $120,000 a year. Your local vet is working every day for Chewy.

When your vaccine costs go up and the cost of surgery goes up, and you have to wait for vet services, or your local practice has been bought out by a corporation, this is a big part of the problem. Buy small. Support small businesses, including your local vet. Most have an online pharmacy that will ship meds to your house, just like Chewy.”

Our Story

Dr. Karen Pidick grew up in the Blue Water Area and has worked in the area for over 25 years to help our pets in St. Clair County. She did house calls on the side while still working at local clinics throughout her career. In 2009, we had a discussion and started a formal house call service that provided her with support and staffing. We started doing house calls just two afternoons a week and are now busy 5 days a week. We look forward to continuing to grow with you.

As a Veterinary House Call Service operating in St. Clair County, our veterinarian is able to perform all basic veterinary needs right in your home where you pet is most comfortable. For dogs and cats from Port Huron to Goodells or Marine City to Marysville, we travel the county so that you don’t have to. Most pets don’t like the trip to the vet, and it can be time consuming and stressful for you both. We make appointments in 2 hour increments. While you wait for us to come to you, you can do laundry or make dinner - or watch TV. Your furry friend has no stress at all and you’re able to do whatever you normally do at home. We find that most pets do better with examinations and procedures in the comfort of their own home. Also, during the visit, you have the veterinarian’s attention the entire time. There are no other patients to run out and see. There is no “in the back” for us to whisk your pet off to where you don’t see what is happening. All preventative care is possible and examinations for most illnesses that do not require urgent or emergency services are also available. We can do lab and blood work and x-rays right at your home. We have many medications on our van to be immediately dispensed, but we also call medications into local pharmacies and have a convenient online store and pharmacy as well. However, there will be times, much like an emergency room and hospital is needed occasionally, where you may be referred elsewhere for the best care. As we do not have a monetary relationship with any veterinary hospital, you can rest assured that when we refer you elsewhere it is strictly for your pet’s best interest. This is also true if we recommend a referral to a specialist. Much along the pattern of a primary care physician for people, we are the trusted family doctor that can take care of almost everything and help you navigate those more difficult issues along the way.

We get a lot of questions about cost. As with any business, we have to charge enough to make money to pay staff, buy equipment, products and services to better serve you and your pet. We do not have a charity wing or non-profit taking donations in order to pay our expenses. That being said, our prices are very reasonable. In most cases, even with the trip charge, most people tell us that it is no more expensive than taking the dog into the veterinary clinic. In some cases, we end up being less expensive. We do accept credit cards and CareCredit in addition to cash, check and debit for those that need to pay over time. We do no allow any balances. Please, be assured that our emphasis is on serving you and your pet. Let us know your budget up front and we will work within it and make suggestions from there.

As we continue to expand into the future, we look forward to meeting new people and pets in our area and continuing to offer compassionate, common - sense veterinary care to all of our clients and patients. Contact us for more information or to make an appointment:
