Studying up on how you can be the best dog parent ever?
Start with the basics you can find here: https://www.avma.org/resources-tools/avma-policies/aaha-avma-canine-preventive-healthcare-guidelines
These preventive health recommendations are important to keep your dog healthy and part of that is coming to at least a yearly health screening with a veterinarian. All dogs should have a veterinary examination at least annually. For many dogs, more frequent visits may be appropriate. Decisions regarding specific frequency of visits should be based on individual needs of the dog. We recommend our clinic for your needs! Have you scheduled your visit for your dog this year yet?

We have exciting news for you! As you know we recently moved to a new location 8504 Lapeer Rd, Township of Kenockee, MI 48006, just a short distance from our old office. We have loved being known under the In the Pink name for so many years and our goal will always be to keep your pets in the pink of health. However with this big change we thought it was a great time to also change to a new name that can continue to grow with us and reflects the beautiful new practice we'll be serving you in. Our new name is Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital.
Just like cobblestones require many different pieces to come together, we are so grateful for you being an essential part of what makes our practice what it is today. We look forward to continuing to bring you the same excellent service we have for years.
Visit us soon or give us a call to schedule your next appointment: https://maps.app.goo.gl/u6UM2Xkb4PX9Fszx5.

Considering getting your pet neutered or spayed? February may be a great time to get an appointment scheduled as it is Spay and Neuter Awareness Month also known as Beat the Heat Month!
Spaying and neutering your pets helps to neutralize many challenging behaviors found in pets in heat like howling, spraying, fighting, the urge to roam, and the risk of getting lost. It even helps keep your pet healthier by protecting them from certain cancers, and helping them to live longer lives.
Few problems in our society are as easy to solve than pet overpopulation!
At In the Pink Pet Care, spays, neuters, and other soft tissue surgeries are offered at an excellent level of quality and experience by Dr. Torres.
Give us a call at (810) 985-3011 to schedule your appointment. We are also happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have, as we want you to feel confident in our abilities to perform this procedure at a level of excellence you can trust in.

Why come to the In the Pink Veterinary Clinic? At our practice you can expect quality and skilled service from our veterinarians and team!
We provide all basic preventative care, examinations, prescriptions, and basic laboratory work at reasonable pricing and we strive to offer outstanding customer service. If the need arises for routine surgery or more in-depth care, we have the knowledge and judgment to either take care of your loved one in our office or refer you to a larger veterinary hospital or specialist.
We are able to offer elective surgeries, minor hospitalizations, and often quicker appointment times than we have available for house calls, in-office. In the office, we also have access to x-rays and other equipment immediately which can be important when you have a sick pet. You also have a home base where you can pick up medications, or drop off samples.
Give us a call 📞at (810) 985-3011 if you are ready to schedule your pet’s appointment or if you have any questions about our practice. We’re ready to help keep your pet ‘in the pink’ of health!

Sometimes in the cold, snowy weather of winter it's difficult to get your dogs the exercise they need! It's important to make sure your dog gets plenty of activity and exercise through the cold months to keep them fit, healthy and happy.
Here are some ways to focus on exercise for your pet this winter:
1. Try to take walks outside when appropriate. Consider the right gear, like booties to protect their paws from ice, salt and chemical ice melts. Small dogs and short-haired breeds should also wear coats to keep them from catching a chill.
2. Exercise indoors. Consider using a treadmill when safe and appropriate, walking them up and down the stairs, or taking laps around the house. Motivate with extra treats and praise.
3. Play games inside like fetch, tug of war, or hide and seek with treats!
Keep researching to see what works best for you and your dogs! Let us know what you like best.

New Years Eve is tomorrow!
Studies suggest up to 50% of dogs are scared around fireworks. This holiday can have a lot of loud noises and parties and increase fear or nervousness of your pets. Consider providing a safe place for your pet to escape the excitement (such as a kennel, crate, perching place, scratching post shelf or hiding place) if you’re entertaining. If your pet is excitable or scared, consider putting your pet in another room with some toys and a comfortable bed.
We hope you have a Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you in 2024!

Nothing can spoil holiday cheer like an emergency visit to a veterinary clinic.
Prevent a holiday disaster this time of year by:
🎄Watching your pets access to people food and being aware of unsafe foods for them like those containing chocolate, xylitol, grapes/raisins, onions or other toxic foods.
🎄Don't leave your pet alone in the room with lit candles, a decorated tree or potpourri.
🎄Keep holiday plants (especially holly, mistletoe and lillies) out of reach of pets.
We hope you have a happy and safe holiday season!

The holidays are coming up and it's special to involve your pets in the fun!
Our online store is a convenient place to order flea, tick, and heartworm medication, food, pain relief, allergy, support and supplements. Something your pets may especially enjoy though are the treats and chews you can order! This is also a great way to give the gift of support to our small business this season.
Visit ➡️ https://inthepinkmobilepetcare.securevetsource.com/index.pml to order today!
Other holiday gift these to consider are:
Comfort: Does your pet seek out a specific spot or have you been thinking they need a new bed or perch? Maybe use this opportunity to buy them one?
Play: Consider adding a new toy, or a new old favorite to their toys!
Treats: Bring one of their favorite treats, or a new one to help them feel special during the holidays!

As the end of November draws near, so does the end of Senior Pet Awareness Month. If you have a senior pet, it's important to keep aware of issues that face them all year long.
At In the Pink Veterinary Clinic we are continually working to implement treatment plans to help your pets live the most comfortable, healthy, and long life they can throughout every stage of life.
As your dogs and cats get older arthritis is a common condition. Your senior pets may struggle with this, causing them to slow down, or show signs of pain when they move.
If you suspect your cat or dog may have arthritis, or joint pain, please schedule an appointment with us right away at (810) 985-3011 and we can schedule an appointment to assess your pet, and guide you on the best treatment options.
We will make every effort hand in hand with you to help your pets stay 'in the pink' and live long, happy lives.

Saint-Bernard puppies for sale. They are so adorable and loving. Melissa and Dr. Torres got their snuggles in 🐕❤️🎉👍

Ear mites in cats can be very uncomfortable and cause a lot of itching. If your cat has dark brown discharge in his ears bring her in for an examination and medication. Unlike common knowledge the ear mites don’t die with topical ear drops. They need BRAVECTO or Revolution.
Dr. Torres loves her senior patients! Miss Cocoa came in for an exam and gave out free kisses
