🚧If your pet is scheduled to come see us anytime soon, please read this important post. This detour will likely add a few minutes to your drive time to get here, so please plan accordingly so that we can do our best to keep our schedule running on time! 🚧

The information from the city's most recent newsletter is as follows- On Monday, March 23, Summer St will be closed 100 feet south of Koestner to 300 feet south of Parkway to allow for storm sewer, water main and roadway installation in that area. Madison Ave will be the primary detour until through traffic is restored.

***This will now begin Wednesday, March 25***

Beginning Monday, March 23, Summer Street will be closed to through traffic from approximately 100 feet south of Koestner Street to 300 feet south of Parkway Drive as part of the Summer Street Reconstruction Project. The closure is necessary to allow crews to install storm sewer, water main, and roadway improvements in this section of the project. Madison Avenue will serve as the primary detour during the closure. Local access will be maintained where possible. 🐾Hey everyone! Meet Koda! This adorable Husky mix is currently being fostered by one of our wonderful clients, but is on the hunt for his fur-ever home! If you think Koda might be the pup for you, please reach out and let us know- we will be going through a vetting process to ensure that Koda goes to a loving family that can take great care of him. 🐶

A little more information... Koda is around 1 year old and is neutered. He is up to date on all necessary vaccines until December of 2026. He has spent a decent amount of time with our staff at Summer Street where we have all fallen in love with him, but when a foster stepped forward, we knew that would be best for him. He does seem to get along great with other dogs too- we're not sure about cats though. We all just want to see him find a truly wonderful home to call his own. If you think your home is the right fit, please reach out and let us know. ❤️🖤

One of our staff found a pair of AirPods (or maybe it's another brand that looks similar) in our parking lot this morning. If you lost yours- we might have them! Just stop by and identify them by the type of case they are in.

🐾With the holidays upon us, please note- if your pet is on a special order Hill's Science Diet food, we must have your order no later than Monday, December 15 at noon. Due to their holiday hours for manufacturing and shipping, we cannot guarantee to have anything special order in-clinic after that date/time. After December 15, we may not have special order food arrive and in-clinic until as late as January 9.

Please do not wait until the last minute to place your order for food or medications with us. We always do our best to get what you need for your pet, but around the holidays, that can get tricky with last minute orders. Plan ahead and call us today if there is something you need! 🎄

🥶IMPORTANT!!! Monday, December 1, 2025!🥶

For the safety of our staff and clients, SSAC will be closing at 5:00 this evening due to the winter weather conditions. We WILL have a doctor on-call for current clients if you find yourself with a pet emergency.

We will reopen with normal clinic hours at 8:00 am tomorrow, Tuesday, December 2.
