🐶🐱We are currently hiring for 1-2 full time Registered Veterinary Technicians. Although being registered is preferred, a minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical position within a veterinary clinic setting is required.

Ideal candidates are able to perform (but not limited to) nail trims, blood draws, vaccines, restraint and provide care and treatment to hospitalized patients. Our technicians are also responsible for setting IV catheters and monitoring anesthesia during surgeries and dentals along with assisting with filling prescriptions in our pharmacy. A positive mindset, strong work ethic, compassion, proactive thinking and dependability are critical traits vital to this role.

In honor of Independence Day, our clinic will be closed on Friday, July 4. We will reopen with normal business hours (8:00 am- 12:00 pm) on Saturday, July 5. 🇺🇸🎆

While closed, we will have a doctor on-call for our current clients in need of emergency pet care. 🐶🐱

We will be closed on Monday, May 26 in honor of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Please give us a call ahead of time if you are in need of a refill of medication or food for your pet. With many of our suppliers also being closed on Monday, it can cause delays in shipping, so the sooner we know we need to place orders, the better!

We will have a doctor on-call for our current clients in case of a pet emergency. Please call (319) 752-1566 to reach our answering service.

Happy birthday to our fearless leader, Dr. Hillyard! 🥳 He's one of the best bosses, friends and veterinarians around... he loves a good foot race, dad jokes and all the pranks. We're so grateful for him and hope he has the best day being celebrated!

May's ortho week is in full swing! By the time we wrap things up tomorrow afternoon, we will have completed the following surgeries... 🐶
-11 TPLOs
-3 MPLs
-1 FHO
-1 pin removal
-1 salivary gland removal

Whew. 😅 We sure love what we do, but pretty certain the staff is going to be ready for some naps after it's all said and done! A big "thank you" to the referring clinics and clients that trust us with the care of their pets!

We're wrapping up another orthopedic week at the clinic with Dr. Teachout... and it's been a busy one! 🐾

We've done...
-10 TPLO surgeries (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy)
-1 MPL (medial patella luxation)
-2 fracture repairs
-4 other types of orthopedic surgeries (pin removals and plate removals)

We love that we are able to help so many patients get back on their feet (literally!) and chasing down those tennis balls again! It's such a great feeling to watch our patients go from painful limping to walking and running like normal again -- it's truly awesome and so rewarding to be a part of it! ❤️
