This is a courtesy post this dog is not at our facility. Please message us if you are interested in adopting him.

The family of this handsome boy is looking for an awesome forever home for him because of the health conditions of the couple he lives with right now sadly they are no longer able to keep him.
A quote from the family
If you’re looking for a dog, that’s good with other dogs good with cats good around older people and young people. He would be an awesome addition to your family. He is neutered up-to-date on vaccines and his family says he is a really good boy. It’s just they cannot keep him because of the declining health they are both facing

In the midst of the big workday the family did for us this past weekend. We also received a donation from a dear friend and supporter of the rescue. We thank her so much for the donation of potty pads, toys, disinfectant wipes, and I know I’m forgetting stuff that was in those boxes of things she sent to us from Amazon sorry for the delay in acknowledging your gift to us so we can continue caring for and helping all of the animals were able to responsibly care for and take in we wish we could do more, but there’s no way we ever want to risk abusing or neglecting the animals because we take too many and yes some times we push the limit for our own sanity, but as long as we’re able to care for them, it’s all good 🐾🙂

Pictures taken about 30 minutes before it got dark on Tuesday evening, January 21.
Everything looks so pretty with the snow .
It is hard to believe we have gotten two snows in the past two weeks when it’s been two years since we had any snow at all here …..
If anyone has animals outside, please make sure they have a place to get and stay warm and dry as well as lots of food in fact, make it an over abundance of food and also make sure they have water that is not frozen 🧊❄️🐾☃️

Words cannot begin to express our gratitude and appreciation for the family of our dear friend, Dawn Sanders.
Yesterday 10 members of her family came and did a workday here at the rescue honoring the memory of our dear friend Dawn
The amount of work they got done was absolutely shocking.
The men went outside and worked on trimming back some of the trees in the driveway and they also took on the task of working on the front fence line that runs the very front of the property at the road. They cut trees down got rid of briars that we’re growing in there made sure the small gauge fence was securely fastened to the larger gauge fence. (and yes, there were times where the ladies went out and helped them on outside as well) The transformation of that front fence line was and is totally amazing .
And the ladies took over doing the vacuuming, mopping, dusting, they washed the dishes while I cooked lunch and after lunch was served they took over cleaning up the kitchen again.
They all also had fun playing with the dogs and puppies in the midst of all of their work and the puppies got a lot of good socialization with other people while they were here
Not only did they come and do a workday when they arrived every single family member had their arms FULL of things they brought for the care and needs of the animals. Some of the things they brought were laundry soap pods, bleach tablets, disinfectant wipes, paper towels, cat treats, canned cat food, puppy chow, dog food, potty pads, dog biscuits, and I’m sure I’m overlooking things that were brought what a blessing to have these items on hand.
And of course, yes there was some bags of toys for the dogs and cats. They had to make sure they followed Dawn‘s example of making sure the animals had things to play with and trust me. All of the dogs and cats are thoroughly enjoying their new toys.
We are so grateful for all their help yesterday, but more importantly we’re thankful for their friendship and their love. It means so much to us.
We pray God‘s blessings on each one of them. We hope they know how much we love them all.
It was also nice to be able to show the family the “love grows here “sign that we have in the flower bed that was purchased the day Dawn passed away - before we even knew she had passed away when I saw the quote on the sign, I thought of her And I put it in my shopping cart and before I was able to put it in the flower bed we were told of her death and now it sits in the flower bed, reminding us of the many times that she said “you might not have flowers in your flower bed, but love grows here”
By the end of the day, all the dogs and puppies were so tired that within 10 minutes of the family leaving all of them were sound asleep, but they sure did have fun with everyone here

The babies are almost completely played out for the day, but they don’t quite wanna just close their eyes and take a nap yet they’re determined to stay awake lol

Anyone who would like to help with the things needed to care for them while they’re at our facility. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Here’s a list of things we could use
Potty pads
Parina puppy chow (the blue bag)
Paper towels
Trash bags
Oder band to mop the floors with
Bleach tablets to do the laundry with
Laundry pods to do the laundry with
Money for their vetting bills
Toys for them to play with (pull ropes, teething sticks, tennis balls, etc.)

Thanks in advance for your assistance

(More updates with pictures and videos to come soon)

This is a courtesy post.
We do not have this dog here at Miracle Acres Fosters but we can put you in contact with his family

This is the message from Riley’s family…
Riley is a mixed breed dog,
70 pounds,
neutered male,
has all of his shots
he prefers female people over males,
he seems to be anxious until he gains your trust, enjoys playing with balls and toys, excellent watch dog, we believe he’s housebroken, but we keep him in the heated garage with a bed and in a pen.
He responds to treats, sits at command, walks on a leash well, loves people, but not when he’s confined in a pen and a lot of people approach him.
He’s very trainable, extremely happy in the morning to see you, loves to ride in trucks and cars, does NOT like other dogs, chases, rodents, squirrels, etc.,
We are needing to rehome him because we both have cancer and in our late 70s and find it hard to handle him.Our hope and prayer is that someone will love Riley like we do and give him a good home.

If you would like to have more information and be put in contact with his family, please contact Elizabeth at miracle Foster’s and she will get you the phone number for Riley‘s family .

Yesterday he had fun being in the snow for the first time.
Now this morning He thinks it’s the best thing ever that the yard is now a very crunchy and awesome tasting ice patch

This is the first time some of these are seeing snow and for Casey being blind is the first time he’s smelling and feeling snow. He thinks it’s great.

About Miracle Acres fosters

Miracle Acres Fosters is a solely volunteer based 501-c3 non-profit organization located on 5 acres in the country side of South Carolina, that provides direct care and recuses dogs in crisis. Opened in 2016 by AJ and Elizabeth Tredway after many years of fostering for other recuses, continuing our success of helping over 400 dogs. Our mission is to rescue, rehab and rehome abused, neglected or abandoned dogs and help them to recover from the trauma they have experienced while preparing them to find the right forever home. We also have a passion for hospice dogs, we take them into our family and give them a happy life and loving home until it is time for them to go over the rainbow bridge. We currently have a fully fenced in lot for the dogs to run and play, a swimming pond, and some heated outdoor kennels. Our goal is to build a bigger shelter to save more animals, a bathing center and provide a birthing room for all the pregnant dogs we recuse. These animals deserve a good home and we can only meet this goal by donations. All monetary donations go directly to the care of these and future animals.

We’d like to also thank the recuse group who took us under their wing and let us foster for them, while learning more about running a non-profit dog rescue. They have helped us follow our dreams and open our own rescue which has led to more dogs being recused.
