Today is my gotcha day! My mom and my Madie came to Granbury to pick me up and bring me home (as a foster lol). I knew I was going to be staying forever!! My Madie brought me to Woof Gang bakery and we picked out some treats for me and my siblings (and wifey).

This is the saddest day. I was all excited to be the first one to climb up the stairs and grab the cookie mommy was holding! But then mommy betrayed me by strapping me in and giving me a bath!!!!! It was horrible! But, I was happy afterwards when I got extra cookies and watched my siblings go through the same torture! 😂

My Madie was away for 3 days at college orientation! I’m so happy she’s back home! I missed my Madie sooooo much!!!

Dexter and Mia had a spa day this morning and are resting up for the big day tomorrow! I made sure the groomer kept Dexter fluffy! They will both be at BRIT Fest tomorrow!

My Madie brought me with her to get lunch. She could tell I was cold so she bundled me up! Being all warm and cozy made me sleepy, but I stayed awake so the workers at Wendy’s could oooh and aaah over my cuteness!

My foster sister, Rita, is doing good with her weight loss program. She doesn’t walk as fast as me, so I make sure to stop several times to sniff and leave my business card. She’s a pretty good girl and I guess I’m ok with her. For the most part, she takes lots of naps. She can’t go to doggy daycare with us, yet, so mommy let’s her say hi to us when she drives by. I hear Rita whimper when she sees us…I guess she likes us, too!

This toy is the latest toy he’s decided is his favorite! It was a very bright yellow emoji, but he’s been carrying it around so much it’s gotten kinda gross. He LOVES to bite on it and make it squeak ALL THE TIME!!!

My brother, Trapper, has decided it’s his mission to steal Mr. Christmas Light from me!! He takes it, then when I get close, he play growls like a baby!! Luckily, my mommy knows his game, takes it away, and gives it back to me!

This is my new foster sister. Her name is Rita. Mommy says she’s older than all of us (12-13yrs old) and her time was up at the shelter. Mommy says she reminded her of Chloe so she knew she needed to help. I like her so far. She hasn’t tried to take any of my toys, she a little chonky like me, and she barks at mommy when she’s getting our food ready (like me).

Dexter is happy to report that while his avocado is out of commission, awaiting surgery, he has a new toy that he’s allowed to carry everywhere! Mr. Christmas light is a new kind of toy that we’ve learned none of the dogs will destroy (at least not yet!). We bought some back in September and they are still intact, so I bought the Christmas designs last week! Dexter seems to like this one the best!
I bought the toys from Petsmart. Brand is Joyhound Rip Roarin Tough.

Dexter escaped Madies room with his avocado again and he’s been walking around with it, making sure we all see it but we can’t have it!

This little avocado is Dexter’s most prized possession! It’s already had to have 2 surgeries and we have to keep it in Madies bedroom, otherwise, it would be destroyed by the other dogs. Dexter ALWAYS tries to sneak it out!! Dexter says “don’t you dare try to take my avocado!!” Getting him to give it up can be a challenge!

Here is the link to the news story. Mommy told me I must have been distracted by something behind me cause I never looked at the camera when she was getting interviewed. I told her “whatever, lady! I don’t need to look at the camera to show off my celebrity! Plus, I wanted the focus to be on you, not me, cause we both know I’m the one that draws the crowds! So you should be thanking me with treats!”

Do ya’ll remember back in July 2019 when I was first brought into BRIT??? I was 40 lbs overweight and heart worm positive??? At that time, there was a campaign where lots of people pledged a certain dollar amount per pound that I lost. Lots of people pledged!! I was so flattered!! I did my best to lose weight and I not only lost lots of weight, I also became heart worm negative via the slow kill method. Well, as we all know, stupid covid hit and lots of people lost their jobs. It was almost like the world stopped and it just didn’t feel right to call in those pledges, even though I had lost the weight. Here we are over 2 years later and, well, I’m doing great, but there are some newbie’s at BRIT that need help. Remember my little buddy, R***r? He’s just a puppy, but he’s got some heart problems and there’s another young brittany named Wilson that has cancer on his left hind leg. The North Texas Day of Giving is coming up and early giving is currently underway. If you feel so inclined, please donate to Brittany Rescue In Texas during the North Texas Day of Giving campaign and mention my name so they know it was in honor of my lost pounds. I would greatly appreciate it!!
