I am thrilled to share an update this week, highlighting a remarkable milestone in a client of mine! This week, we shine the spotlight on Ada and her training journey. For those who have been keeping up, you’ll know that Ada and I have embarked on this journey together through private sessions. Ada, a rescue, arrived with some hesitations, particularly around strangers — more so with men who have hats and beards. The cornerstone of teaching any new behavior is consistency, and Ada’s mom has shown unparalleled commitment. She has been instrumental in navigating Ada through her anxieties and apprehensions about unfamiliar people. We are glad to announce that Ada had successfully completed our Middle School 101 program. But that’s not all — we witnessed a breakthrough! During a session, a fellow canine student was accompanied by their father, whom Ada had never met. To our delight, Ada approached him with poise, courage, and, most importantly, without any signs of fear. These are the moments that truly underscore the value of our work. 💕

𝗔𝘁 𝟭𝟭 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀: Making Moments with Potato 🥔
Playtime + training = a cooked Potato.
So, what should you be doing with a pup at 11 weeks?
1. Positive Socialization: Introduce your 11-week-old to new environments, people, and gentle experiences. Make sure they have age appropriate vaccines!
2. Basic Training: Start with commands like sit & down, using positive reinforcement for a well-behaved pup. Potato & I worked on down today! But we captured & reinforced a lot of engagement.
3. Establish a Routine: Set a schedule for feeding, playtime, and potty breaks to create a sense of security. Dogs like patterns & routines!
4. Provide Stimulation: Age-appropriate toys for mental engagement and supervised interactions with other pets.
Remember, patience and consistency are the keys to shaping a happy and well-adjusted fur baby! Potato is settling in nicely..

Elevate your dog training game! 🐾 When extending the distance during the "stay" command, avoid mixed signals. Many clients inadvertently confuse their dogs by calling them over immediately after increasing distance. While you see it as celebrating their stationary success, your dog might interpret it as a break from the stay. Opt for a clearer approach – gradually increase distance, pause, then calmly approach your pup to reinforce the stay. This ensures a solid understanding and strengthens the "stay" element. 🏋️♂️ #DogTrainingProTips #ClearCommunication #FunctionalTrainingAdvice
