VOLUNTEER DAY: This Saturday, the 17th, we need your help with our herd of momma goats and adorable babies!

* Assist us in giving first hoof trims, vaccinations, and ear tags to the little ones
* Moms will get pedicures and general health checks

Goat experience a bonus but not needed- holding the babies is just as valuable.

Join anytime between 9 am until we are done. DM if you can lend a hand!

Scam alert! We are not selling chickens via Facebook. We have had several folks arrive at our farm or call us because they had been in contact with a scammer over Facebook and Marketplace using our farm address and sometimes our name. The scammer has been identifying themselves as being from " Myra's Poultry Farm " and arranging sales of our laying hens. Again, THIS IS A SCAM. We are not selling poultry.
We have reported the page(s) and others have too, but it continues. We feel horrible having to turn away folks who are excited to start their own flocks.
If you have interacted with this person, please report them and feel free to message us and let us know. If you have paid this scammer money, please report it and let us know. If you have actually obtained hens from anyone claiming to be us or at our farm address, please, please, please contact us. We won't demand the birds back, but would like details in order to try and shut this down.

We're hiring! Two Birds Farm is looking to expand our 2025 field crew. These seasonal positions are vital to getting everything planted, weeded, harvested, prepared and to our customers. It's hard, but good work. One full time and a couple part time positions are available.
No experience is necessary, but experience with outdoor work, food handling and general labor is appreciated.
Pay ranges from $14.00 to $16.50/hr, depending on experience and responsibilities. We've worked successfully with a wide array of different folks over the years. All are welcome to apply!

We are selling our Ford Tractor! It is a workhorse- until we got a newer Kubota, we used it for pasture mowing, hauling, hole-digging, and getting ourselves out of jams. (The time the car slid sideways in the mud, up against the fence, down the hill, well, we got out of it with two tractors and lots of cussing...)

Busy morning at Brookside Farmers Market, but we are still fully stocked with lots of luscious Greens, Lettuce, Gold Ball Turnips, Potatoes, Cabbage, Chard, Daikons, Watermelon Radishes, Baby Pac Choi, Dill and more! 1.5 hours left! Come stock up for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving bonanza at the Brookside Farmers' Market! We have a huge and varied harvest and would love to send folks home with some! From 9 am to Noon, Saturday the 23rd (tomorrow!) you'll find all sorts of local products and food! The market has moved inside HJs Community Center for the winter. You'll find the following on our tables (look for us in the room to the right, first thing in the door).
Lettuce, Spinach, Kale, Chard, Watermelon Radishes, Gold Ball Turnips, Purple Daikons, Baby Pac Choi, Mustard Greens, Gold Frill Mustard, Arugula, Hakurei Salad Turnips, Leeks, Sprouting Broccoli, Jalapenos, Potatoes (including some awesome Russets!), Fresh Dill, Cilantro, Parsley, Sage and Mint. And SO MUCH CABBAGE. We have tender green, lovely savoy, napa and brilliant red cabbage.
Other vendors will have additional veggies, including sweet potatoes, peppers, bread, meats, treats, mushrooms, eggs, honey and more. Hope to see lots of folks there!

We're hiring! Katherine needs someone to help with the Goats On The Go JoCo grazing business from 16-24 hours a week through the season. Its a really fun, challenging and always different job where you'll get to work with goats! Please share widely- we're looking for someone who likes to work hard, learn hard, and who'll appreciate the unique (and by unique, we mean goofy, sweet, aggravating, entertaining) character of goats!

Good afternoon! Two Birds Farm is in need of a couple of appliances and we're wondering if any of you have a refrigerator or microwave you'd love to get rid of?

They don't need to be fancy, just functional and we're happy to pay/ pick up at your convenience! We use the fridge for egg storage and crew food and the microwave for all of us, so we'd be grateful!

(Back story on the fridge- the mice in the barn ate the wiring and nested under it over the winter : / This time we're going to close it off with hardware cloth, plus we got some really hungry feral cats for the farm!)

There are babies everywhere! In the last three days, 9 moms kidded, all but two of them went really well. What lovely and lively little creatures they are!
