8 littles all doing well. If you’re on the list for a male from this litter I’ll likely be reaching out starting Sunday. The girls are all on hold for now. We planned to keep at least one from this litter and will hold them all back until we decide who we want to watch mature for a while longer.

We would like to officially introduce our new 💯 European male JJ! We have had him reserved for a few weeks but learned years ago not to share until we are positive everything is good with new boys! He’s just had his vet check and all is well so we’re making it official ☺️.

If you’ve been following us very long you know that we retire our dogs from breeding at a younger age than many breeders do and we move them indoors full time to a long, spoiled life on the couch. Unfortunately this isn’t an option for Chevy’s retirement. She’s a dominant female and doesn’t do well with other girls. We have our old girl Cricket already retired inside as well as our daughter’s 7 year old female chihuahua who is NOT afraid to challenge the big dogs 🤦🏻‍♀️. Chevy hates Cricket and would not put up with the chihuahua’s attitude for a second so she cannot follow our normal retirement plan. We would love to keep her here forever but we want what is best for her and at under 6 years of age she deserves a couch of her own for many years to come, not to be kept crated or in a pen when outside to avoid fighting with our older girls. We are offering her for adoption to an approved home. She loves all people but she needs to be the only female dog in the home. Any male dogs need to be big enough to hold their own with her because she loves to play and at nearly 70lbs she plays rough. No cats, due to her high prey drive she’ll kill them. Chevy was recently spayed and is up to date on all of her vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick prevention. She had a negative heartworm test at the time of surgery. This gorgeous boy needs a family that is OK with a baby that’s not quite perfect. We weren’t home when this litter was born. Most of the time we are but sometimes we just can’t be there due to work. Usually things go perfectly but this time there was an issue. We got home a few hours later and his umbilical cord was wrapped around the toes on one of his back feet. Unfortunately, the blood supply had already been lost and he ended up losing all of his toes. Despite this, he continued to nurse great and he grew and thrived. He has been checked by our vet, who does lots of orthopedic work with dogs, and he said that since he did not lose his main foot pad he should adapt just fine. Toes are for gripping so the only place that he really has any challenges is on super slick floors, and he will adapt as he spends more time on smooth, slick surfaces. Ideally, this guy would love to live in a home with carpet in at least some of the floors so he doesn’t need that grip all the time. A rubber boot would also help him on those surfaces as he gets bigger. Personality wise he is amazing. He is calm, quiet, and just wants to sit next to you and be loved most of the time. If you think this perfectly imperfect little man would be a good fit for your family.
