Visited Berman Museum & Anniston Museum of Natural History with some friends today and before I even saw the description titled "Royal Purrsian (Persian🤪) Scimitar" I thought to myself.. 'If a cat chose a weapon.' Because they naturally have several mini versions of these.😆

My cat HOOKED his nail into the bottom of my foot last night.. I didn't realize he was laying at my feet as I was shaking my foot under the blanket. He swipes at my feet once- misses, I jump up in a panick as to save my life. He swips a second time before I can pull my legs away and got me good!😫 I don't like playing those kinds of cat games against my will.😅😅

2025 RCC Chronicle 🐈👑💕
I would like to take a moment during this slow, snowy day to document and share Royalty Cat Care's celebratory moments and improvements made in efforts of bringing RCC to its best potential before ending the year 2024, as well as to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your contribution to my eventful cat-niche safari. Because of your support during my first whole calendar year in operation, I’ve been able to sustain the exact same motivational drive I started out with to succeed in making a cat-sitting business successful.

The idea of a feline-focused pet sitter wasn’t my original idea, but I had the confidence it had a chance to thrive in our area. I recently looked back at my handwritten notes that listed goals I had in mind before I had even scheduled my first booking. I smiled as I was in disbelief that I was able to outgrow those goals a few times over. I wasn’t sure what the year was going to surprise me with, but I knew I had a dream that was worth trying to bring into existence, not just for myself, but for other cat parents alike. Even a cat-loving writer, Greg Bailey, from the Gadsden Times called for an interview. Being published in our local newspaper was definitely the highlight of the year for me as it felt like Royalty Cat Care officially went down in history.

I have made numerous wonderful fur-friends, but it has been incredibly rewarding to be part of the community where I also get to know their people. I have never left a meet & greet without thinking to myself, “What a pleasant visit that was; they were really nice.” I frequently read horror stories on social media about 'difficult clients,' but by learning from others’ experiences, I have created an in-depth service agreement and designed the on-boarding process to mitigate potential issues. These common conflicts are easily avoidable with my first line of defense being my booking software where the new client form is generated from. For those who were with me in the early days, you are familiar with the original software RCC operated from. After a while, it proved to be clunky, so I decided to switch to a more user-friendly software. This was the best decision by far. I also implemented a lock-box policy for homes without a keypad. This decision was inspired by the modern norm in the pet-sitting world and the fact that we are all human, and therefore key displacement isn’t a rare mistake. I was pleased to receive positive feedback on this policy, as it also provided other client benefits, such as the key being available for a friend, family member, or neighbor if an unexpected situation arose where they needed to gain access to the home.

Besides the time invested in building a thorough set of policies to ensure everyone is safe and happy, I also reflect on the improvements made to my brand’s graphics. Enthusiastically dedicating a decade to solely raising babies, of course, comes with expected sacrifices. Getting back into a creative mindset has regenerated an inner energy that validates I’m moving in the right direction in this new chapter of my life where my toddler mom days are now gone. I’ve always loved the concept behind my simplistic logo, though it did get a few tweaks that may have gone unnoticed. However, I am most proud of my website. It still stands to need its own tweaks but I had fun getting it to where it is today. Although in the beginning, amping myself up to even start the task of website building was a task of its own.

Throughout it all, my ultimate mission of caring for your cats like the royalty they are has been incredibly satisfying. I dearly love each and every one of their sweet souls and think about them often. Please give them my love and wish them a happy ‘mew’ year from me. Once again, I appreciate each and every one of you! I truly can’t thank you enough for supporting me through a triumphant 2024.
