Happy New Year! Join us this month as we re-introduce you to Max's Helping Paws and what we are all about!
Remember Tommy? Thanks to YOU, Max's Helping Paws was able to step in to help this young family when Tommy experienced a terrifying, life or death, expensive medical illness.
Tommy's journey reminds us that with compassion, collaboration, and community support, we can continue to reduce shelter overflow, minimize prolonged suffering and eliminate economic euthanasia when a family is experiencing severe financial hardship.
Every dollar raised supports Monterey County pets in a health crisis.
* $100 will fund a prescription diet or medications for a month to preserve the life of a pet
* $200 will cover an initial evaluation for a dog or cat at a family veterinary office
* $750 will provide diagnostics such as lab work or radiographs for an ill or traumatically injured pet
* $1000+ will provide stabilization for multiple pets experiencing trauma, acute or chronic illness

We have a lot to be grateful for this year. Your support continues to allow us to help keep pets out of shelters, happy, healthy and home with their families. For that, we are all extremely thankful.
So far in 2023, Max's Helping Paws has awarded financial rescue to 482 pets experiencing a health crisis. Dogs and cats who otherwise faced prolonged suffering, surrender and even economic euthanasia.
Behind each pet and each family, there is a story. Stories like Elvis. A spunky 14-year-old whose wagging tail and playful antics have brought immeasurable happiness to his loving family for over a decade. When Elvis refused to eat or drink, coupled with visible signs of distress, his behavior raised the alarm for his devoted mom.
Elvis's owner, a recent college graduate with a limited income, found herself at a crossroads. Residing with her mother, who has been recovering from a stoke was currently unable to work. How could they afford to get Elvis the care she feared he needed immediately? They turned to Max's Helping Paws for help.
We need your support. Will you help us keep pets like Elvis, Happy, Healthy and Home for the Holidays?
