Martin County Humane Society - Indiana

So far we have not had any dog adoptions from out Adopt-a-Dog-a-Thon 😔 We are doing our best to get these dogs seen so we can get them in a home as soon as possible. We will continue to post the available dogs at a discounted adoption fee as they are worth it to find them a home ❤️ With that, meet Lylah 🫶 She is a pretty labrador mix with one of the softest coats making her easy to snuggle and love on 🥰 She is a sweet girl who weighs about 70 lbs and is around 2 years old. She came to us after raising her litter of puppies and now she is ready to be spoiled by her future family 🐶 Her adoption fee has been reduced to $50 for our special adoption event! 📣Weekly Adoption Update📣 This week we had three cats get adopted - December, Tostito and Chyna 💗 We are so happy for these three and we wish them a lifetime filled with treats, cuddles and a lot of purrs 🥰 We now only have 5 cats available for adoption. We would LOVE to see an empty cat room soon so help us spread the word and let’s find these 5 cats a home!🏡 We did gain a new cat last week and her name is Serene. She is a beautiful domestic long hair who is very, very sweet and affectionate ❤️ We also have 7 dogs available for adoption and we have not had a dog adoption since February. It would be great to finish the end of March or start the beginning of April with a dog adoption. Dog adoption fees range from $0-$100 and include spay/neuter, microchip and up to date on vaccines. ✨Padma✨ Meet Padma 👋 This sweet girl has been at our shelter since July 2023 and has not received one application or any interest from adopters at all! She came to the shelter very shy but has really come out of her shell after being with us for a while. She is a young cat (about 1 year old) and we would love to get her into a home soon. She is very sweet and we think she would get along well with just about anybody! 🐈‍⬛ She is spayed, up to date on shots, negative for FIV/FeLV and is litter box trained. Adoption fee is sponsored. 👑❄️Meet Snow White❄️👑 Snow White came to us very unsure of humans. We don't know what happened to her before we got her but she's clearly been through some things. She knows commands - sit, shake, lay down, but she's temperamental and seems to get super nervous when you come at her too quickly to pet her on her head. She will need a very patient adopter who is willing to work with her. ❤️ She is estimated at 3+ years old. She weighs around 45 pounds. She would need to be tested with any potential canine siblings and we have not tested her with cats yet. She is best suited in a home without children. She is spayed, up to date on shots, tested negative for heartworms, Lyme disease, e.canis and anaplasmosis and is microchipped. ⭐️Cat of the Week⭐️ (Still Available!) Meet Chyna. This pretty lady is a tortoiseshell who is about 1-2 years old. This poor girl was rescued from a hoarding situation and she doesn’t know what to think of shelter life. She typically hides in her box in the cat room and is very quiet (sometimes you forget she is there). She doesn’t really come out for attention but LOVES it when you start to pet her. She starts purring and leans into your pets 🐱❤️ We would love to get her in a home soon where she can feel comfortable and connect with someone. She is very sweet and deserves a loving home after everything she has been through. She has been with us since July 7th. 🐾Dog of the Week🐾 (Still Available!!) Meet Pippa. This sweet girl is an adorable lab mix who is a little shy right now. She is extrenely sweet and still getting used to being with us. We aren’t sure of how her life started or what she has been through, but our hope is to find her a home soon where she can feel loved 💗 She is underweight as she weighs 39 lbs but with a little bit of TLC we will get her back up to a good weight in no time. Sometimes the more shy dogs end up being the best 🥰 Her adoption fee is $100 and she is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped.
