It’s raining dogs! Seriously, we are being inundated with requests to take in dogs. We hate saying “no” but we just don’t physically have room for all of them.

So we’re currently looking for people who would be interested in being short-term fosters for us.

A short-term foster would open up their home to a senior dog for a few weeks or a few months and treat that dog like a member of the family. You would be responsible for bringing the dog to the vet and any follow-up visits. Vintage Pet Rescue would cover all veterinary costs and supply all food and supplies.

Our main goal is to ultimately get these dogs adopted so we would be relying on you to get to know your foster dog. You would help us figure out their perfect home.

As you know, our dogs are imperfect little creatures. We’ll need fosters for blind dogs, deaf dogs, paralyzed dogs, diabetic dogs, and hospice dogs. Experience with senior or special needs dogs is preferred. Vintage Pet Rescue will be there for you to help with questions or concerns, but we are VERY busy and we would love to find fosters who are comfortable with old dog issues and can problem solve.

If you will only take a potty trained dog then please do not apply. Our dogs are messy and we cannot guarantee they will be potty trained. Actually, I can guarantee that they will p*e in your house.
