Riley’s puppies are 3 weeks old! This little one is already trying to make a break for it.
Bryan is the most handsome guy on the block! This guy came to us from Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control (CRACC) several months ago. We have been working on his confidence and comfort in his own handsome skin. He has been making a lot of progress and is ready to start looking for his people.
Bryan is still timid. He takes a bit to warm up, but once he does, you are his person forever! Bryan would do best in a calmer home with structure and routine. He is crate trained and house trained. Bryan will get the furniture nibbles if bored so we recommend crating when not home.
Bryan loves his yard and playing ball! He definitely needs a fence and someone with a good arm! Bryan would thrive with enrichment toys and things that challenge him. He is a smart guy! Bryan might like a playful friend, he has been living as an only, but we think would do well with another dog and might help his confidence.
We want to make Bryan’s transition a smooth one. We will continue to support him while he settles in - with the help our amazing trainer, Joanne Soyke, at Fur Better Fur Worse Dog Training.
Bryan is neutered, current on vaccines and prevention, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300. If interested in meeting Bryan, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt

Any bets on who will be champion!?! 🥇
If you can’t beat him, join him! Too cute not to share 😍.
Bonnie (Shepherd mix) is still available for adoption.
Sloan could not be outdone by his little sister Cheens. He wanted to show off how cute and brilliant he is 💜
Happy Monday from Tully! She looks like a new dog 💜
It’s a $5 Friday! We are hoping to raise some funds for Zeus, who we lovingly call Goosey.
Some days are better than others for Zeus. He has finally made it to 2#! We can’t get into Iowa State University until 4/1 for his surgical consultation for Atresia Ani. The kind of Atresia he has is very rare and there are a few different options for him. All have their own risks.
We are patiently waiting until April. We do have the option of going through the ISU emergency service with him if it becomes urgent. There have been several times we thought we might need to go and then Zeus rallies.
Please help us raise funds for him. We know the cost is going to be steep. We want to be able to afford the best treatment recommended for him by the specialist.
As always, thanks for believing in us and our mission.
Like his tie!?! We are thinking about sending him on some job interviews to help raise funds 😊

Do you remember Higgins!?!
He is an adorable 13# Pekingese, estimated to be around 2 years old. Higgins came to us with both eyes bulging and one desperately needing removed. Higgins has chronic dry eye in his remaining eye that will require drops for life. None of this has slowed him down, and post-surgery he quickly returned to his bouncy, playful self.
Higgins is a super-sweet little guy with a great temperament and very eager to please. He loves to play with his toys and enjoys a good game of fetch. He is just as content to sit and snuggle, as he loves cuddles and affection. Happy boy is the best way to describe him.
Higgins is adapting well to life with two senior dogs and cats, and would love to play with any and all of them. We think he would enjoy having a younger playmate in his forever home.
Higgins is doing well with house-training, though he does still have occasional accidents. He is crate trained and does well overnight in his crate. He is not a barker, except in the morning to let you know it’s time to get out of the crate!
We just love this guy’s personality and zest for life!
Higgins is neutered, current on vaccines and prevention, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. To meet Higgins, please submit an application at
www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.
Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.

Skylar has figured out how to mom 🥰
Look at little Patch 💙
He is getting around so well as a tripawd we can hardly get a video of him! It is still so hard to believe this teeny guy survived getting hit by a train.
Simba is continuing physical therapy for muscle strengthening for severe hip dysplasia. As a reminder this puppy isn’t even a year old and his hips are some of the worst we have seen. The jumps will be moved up as he can tolerate walking/jumping over them without bunny hopping. We are hoping Simba can avoid surgery and long term pain medication.
He is such a smart guy and loves doing these exercises with his foster mom. The time and dedication she is putting in to help Simba live his best life is so heartwarming.
Simba has also completed basic obedience and is moving on to intermediate. Simba is not up for adoption as he has a long road of rehabilitation to live pain free.
