Dustin McRae, of Texas Safaris in Fredericksburg, Tx, made the trip to pick up “Lou”, formerly “Pink” collar out of Freidelshiem’s Bones Fork CoL Martha Ray x Sundance Any Which Way You Can, “Philo”.

Lou will be busy enjoying guided and wild bird hunting around the state. She may even help track and find valuable exotic game.

We wish the best for the McRae family-seems Lou readily made herself at home with the kids, as well as by Dustin’s side on a road trip.

He likes Classic Rock, Classic Country, and excels at mud baths. He loves to swim, crushed his chukar intro, and is looking for a hunting partner.
He also loves to lay still inside the house, and watch everything around him with fascination.

Copperas Cove, Tx, pick up their new Bones Fork puppy.
Formerly “Orange” collar (out of UT P1 “Dani” x VC Sundance “Zane” litter), “Foggy” joins a Falconry hunting home.
Foggy will enjoy plenty of acreage to run and hunt quail, and under expert care of a Veterinarian family.

We look forward to seeing Foggy
grow and develop with her new adventures.

I'd like to recognize Fred Rice, the Man who puts so much of himself to helping others realize their aspirations in breeding, training, and testing of Versatile Hunting Dogs. He is the most unselfish person I know in this passion, and has positively influenced hundreds, if not thousands of gun dog enthusiast. This kennel, Bones Fork, squarely owes its existence to Fred Rice and the Sundance German Shorthaired Pointers bloodline. His willingness to patiently coach, teach and mentor is a reflection of his heart, and his priorities. There has not been a major decision, since the founding of this kennel, regarding breeding, that I don't consult Fred. He's honest, unabashed, and always advises in the interests of the maintaining of or building the next litter of fine bird dogs. You set the standard and I"ll strive to be able to continue to contribute to the the NAVHDA community, both in opening up our land resources for training and testing, and producing a limited amount of fine bird dogs for new and experienced hunters. I'll also do my part to assist in the establishment of new kennels that are willing to adhere to tried and true breeding protocols. That's what it's all about, helping others realize their aspirations. Thank you Fred. You set the example. You have established quite the legacy. Melissa and i love you and miss being around you. Know that you always have loyal friends in Texas and a place here at Bones Fork.

Orange is a very cooperative, attentive, a lovable pup. Always in my business when tending to the litter, he is a proven swimmer and loves to run up and down the lake dam.

He’s calm in the house (unless I can him worked up!), and has lots of energy outside.

A bittersweet moment as Jeff Hitt arrives to receive Bones Fork The Chain, call name “Stevie”, formerly known as “Purple” collar.

Jeff is an avid hunter of the American South West, trains and tests in NAVHDA and in the field trial world.
We look forward to having Jeff and Stevie out here at Bones Fork for training and testing!
She will be a fun pup to watch in the years to come.

With a bit of sadness this morning, Bones Fork bids farewell to “Yellow” collar out of Freidelshiem’s Bones Fork Colonel Martha Raye, call name “Maggie” x Sundance Any Which Way You Can, call name “Philo”.

She joins Mary and Steve Brennell, from the Great State of Missouri.

Mary and Steve are staunch NAVHDA enthusiasts and avid hunters.
