Just got this adorable picture of Buzzy. He is a toy FOX Terrier who came to us at 10 months old 11 years ago.
He had a broken front leg that had not been set properly and the breeder couldn't sell him. 6 months later, we had not even had an inquiry about this wonderful little baby so, okay, you can stay.
He is perfect. People don't always understand that a handicap does not mean they cannot have a long, wonderful life. He still plays with his fursisters and toys like a puppy.

Scamp is the last of the puppies we rescued 15 months ago and he lives to play ball, does not like other boys but loves girls. He has waited 15 months for the perfect home and these folks traveled on snowy back roads from northern KS to take him home Wrapped in Love where he will have a Shiba sister who also lives to chase balls, A match made in heaven. Thank you for giving him the perfect home.

After a long day so enjoying the beautiful weather.
By some miracle, we still have power. Kids are content, warm and patiently waiting for their furever homes.
Another cold, snowy day so everyone is chillin' in front of the fire.
Baby Frenchies at play! All available at www.breederadoptions.org.
They are all in southern Colorado; we do not ship.
Chilly day so fire in the woodstove. Warm and cozy for all the kids.
Update on Larry! He is doing remarkably well. He has started to play with the other dogs, play with toys and run around the yard like he owns it. As you can see, his eye is healing nicely.
Thank you to all who donated to his care. It's your donations that help us save dogs like Larry that need extra funds.
Larry is living large....thank you!
I had to share this video with you all because it is just too cute. This is Fanta, a 4 year old Cavapoo girl, and she gets very excited to see her friend SpiderMan, a 5 year old poodle boy.
Fanta & SpiderMan are available for adoption and are in foster homes in Phoenix, AZ. They both have been waiting over a year for their forever home!
Gizmos first walk since his surgery. He's in good spirits.
So, they have a huge yard to run and play in. But, here we are.
I'm going to try to send a short video of baby Midge so you can see she gets around just fine.

Our Journey
We began our journey to rescue dogs in 2004 by fostering Yorkies when we knew we were going to lose our precious Yorkie to a collapsed trachea.
We discovered the plight of breeding dogs who were no longer useful in 2007 and in 2010 started our own organization to rescue these dogs as well as some from euthanasia lists in shelters. We concentrate on small breed dogs and with the help of a small team of volunteers in 3 states, we rescue between 350 and 400 of these dogs every year.
These dogs are not the easiest to get adopted. Most are not socialized, have never seen a vet, are terrified of people and traumatized. We take care of their vet care and begin the socialization process. We do not attempt to house train as the adopters expectations will be different than ours. We just show them what it is like to be in a home with people, have lots of yummy food and kind words and pets. For many, it is the first time their feet have ever been off wire and on the ground.
For the brave folks who adopt our dogs, the rewards of watching them “learn to be dogs” is beyond belief. It can take a week or a year but eventually, with time, love, patience and most of all commitment, these dogs will become wonderful companions.
If you are following our page, chances are you have seen the many success stories and all of the folks who come back for another. After all, they are now experts!
We live in the mountains in southern Colorado on 40 acres with no neighbors and have turned our home into the first stop in the rehabilitation process. My husband Chris and I care for 75 to 100 dogs all the time, 24/7, many special needs in one way or another so please don’t ask us to transport. There are simply not enough hours in the day and time on the road is time away from the dogs.
Take a chance on one of these beautiful dogs. You will not be sorry.
