Summit improves animal health and production, reduces operational inefficiencies, solves regulatory issues, and alleviates social concerns.

Ultimately, we are here to build better lives. One way we can do that is to help farmers feed the world. But that is a Herculean task, made even more difficult by an exploding global population, environmental changes, social pressures, government regulations and an ever-widening gap between those who can afford quality food and those who cannot. People cannot build better lives if they are hungry,

malnourished or on the brink of starvation. If we are to make a difference—and that is our goal—we must help farmers do more, and that means changing the way we think, collaborate and innovate. Today, Summit facilities do more than house animals—they improve animal health and production, reduce operational inefficiencies, solve regulatory issues and alleviate social concerns. By going beyond buildings, we are building better lives.

Our team member spotlight this week is Jason Swartz!

What do you enjoy about Summit? // Honestly, I really love our people. We have a really great group of employees at Summit that are always pushing themselves to be the best they can be. I also like being a part of multiple projects and helping however I can to overcome any challenges the teams may face.

What is your most prized possession? // My family by far. I really love watching our kids and grandkids grow into their own families, just like my wife and I did with our kids.

What is the best advice you've ever received? // Treat others how you want to be treated. I feel like I’ve lived my whole life by this advice.

Jeremy Miller, one of our outstanding Project Managers at Summit, recently spent some time with the 4th graders of Yavapai Elementary School SUSD! He shared insights about a project Summit is currently working on in their area and opened their eyes to the opportunities within the Agriculture industry. On this World Environment Day, we would like to highlight Kipster & MPS Egg Farms' work to be as sustainable as possible! Kipster reduces their carbon footprint by using food waste from bakeries & other food producers as chicken feed, solar power from the panels atop their barns, and choosing to dry & store manure on-site for farmers to fertilize with.
