Tessa would be a wonderful companion for a retired MWD handler or retired K9 handler. She has a lot of love to give! She travels very well and loves to go in the car.

Trying to find this beautiful girl her forever home. Tessa is a 4yr old AKC registered German Shepherd, she doesn't get along with other dogs or cats, she hasn't been around small children and she is a climber, she is very hard to contain in her kennel must have a secure roof. Laser Therapy has gone way beyond where I first began with it back in 2004! The uses now and that are being tested are near endless and the results are truly amazing.

This Northern Saw Whet Owl struck a window and suffered from a spinal injury that we treated with Cold Laser Therapy. His recovery was so fast, he returned to freedom in a week! Thank you Respond Systems for the service you provide.

The growing problem of obesity in dogs and cats has been brought to light by Animal Planet's, "My Big Fat Pet Makeover". Current studies show that more than 45% of dogs and 58% of cats are overweight or obese. The problems to which obese companion animals may be predisposed include: orthopedic disease, exercise intolerance, heat intolerance, lowered immune system function, diabetes mellitus, abnormalities in circulating lipid profiles, cardiorespiratory disease, urinary disorders, reproductive disorders, neoplasia (mammary tumors, transitional cell carcinoma), dermatological diseases, shorter life span and anesthetic complications. Take a moment to look over this Body Condition Score, (BCS) chart and your pet. Their lives are short enough!

My goal is to post or write things here weekly, or more... ;-)... to aid pet and working dog owners in their day to day lives. I see this one all the time and the animal always is on the losing end. Please teach all children to respect all animals.

Rest in peace K9 Nicky. After coming through everything so well K9 Nicky was shot and killed yesterday apprehending a murder suspect. Hearts go out to LVPD and his handler.

Great company that does outstanding work!

Military Working Dogs

As handlers, we are CONSTANTLY asked, "Can I pet your dog?"

98% of the time, the answer will be no, for your safety and that of the dog. We know they're great to look at, thus tempting to touch, but they are not pets. Please be sure to also keep your children from approaching an MWD if you are ever in the vicinity of one. As handlers, we love answering questions about our dogs and the MWD program, so don't be deterred from speaking to us if you see us. Just maintain a safe distance ;)
