Captain Meyer, also known as Dr. Sawyer, graduated as a distinguished military graduate from Army ROTC at Truman State University and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Medical Service Corps. She served with the 82nd Airborne Division and was deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom. During her time in service, she earned her Expert Field Medical Badge and achieved her Jumpmaster certification!
