MOST dogs are selective—they have certain criteria for who they want to hang out with and how. Maybe they dislike unaltered males in their space, or get upset when another dog steals their tennis ball, or don't feel comfortable around other dogs when they're on a leash... whatever it is, these dogs are NORMAL! With a little awareness and some guidance, you too can learn to identify your dog's selective preferences, to better avoid situations that make them uncomfortable.

Xylitol, which can be deadly to dogs, has started showing up in NON-food products. We strongly feel that ANY product containing xylitol should carry a label warning that it is highly toxic to dogs.

“We’re seeing it show up in all sorts of products,” said Ahna Brutlag of the Pet Poison Helpline. “Products that aren’t even edible.”

This is what happens when you break into the Dollar General store over and over again to steal the purple stuffed unicorn that you laid claim to, and get animal control officer called to lock you up for your breaking-and-entering and larceny... but the officer purchases the unicorn for you and brings it into the shelter to keep you company. The best part of the story: "Sisu" the lab mix (and its beloved unicorn) has been adopted. 😍

A stray dog in North Carolina that repeatedly broke into a Dollar General store to steal a stuffed unicorn has been adopted.
