Wow! I don't know how it happened, but we have gained quite a few new followers over the past few days, so let us introduce ourselves. We are Hush Puppy Haven, a small non profit organization located in Daytona Beach FL, and have been assisting pets in our community since 2011. We provide pet food and supplies each month to our local Council on Aging of Volusia County through a PetMeals on Wheels program, feeding the pets of our local seniors. Our mission has always been to keep pets and their families happy, healthy, and together! We are able to provide services due to generous donations from our supporters. None of our three board members are paid, we are just a trio of animal lovers, who strive to be the voice for those who cannot speak. All animals deserve to live a happy, healthy, harm free life and we will fight for that until the end. Thank you for taking an interest in us and for your support! 🥰

Thanks to your donations, HPH is happy to provide the needed dog & cat food and cat litter each month to Council on Aging of Volusia County. We have been dedicated to this program for over four years and every penny donated to us goes towards keeping the pets of our local seniors happy and healthy! We accept monetary donations, as well as any unopened dog/cat food and cat litter. Thank you for your support!😍

🍎During National Nutrition Month it goes without saying that one of our best-known services is our Meals on Wheels Program, along with our Pet Meals on Wheels Program🐈‍⬛🦮🐈🐕‍🦺

🍐Millions of senior Americans live at or below the poverty line, eat poorly, struggle to maintain a healthy body weight, lack the ability to exercise, are afflicted with chronic disease, and have little to no access to good, nutritious food.

🍊Luckily for Volusia County residents 6️⃣0️⃣ years and older, Council On Aging of Volusia County is here to help.

This quarter all tips and donations will be given to Hush Puppy Haven 🐶

They are a local nonprofit organization that partnered up with the Council on Aging of Volusia County to create PetMeals on Wheels.

PetMeals on Wheels supplements the existing Meals on Wheels program to include pets of seniors in need. Every month Hush Puppy Haven provides cat and dog food, cat litter, pet supplies and other small pet food to those that need it in Volusia County.

The program also assists seniors with needed pet vaccines, and veterinary bill assistance, on occasion, when needed. The program is solely dependent on financial and pet food donations.

If you are wanting to donate food or litter we would be more than happy to collect it at any of our markets!

HPH is always happy to team up and help other local organizations improving the lives of our people and pets. Last year the Daytona Dog Beach Inc. was able to finally get a stretch of beach in Ormond designated as a “dog beach”. This is a pilot program and its success depends on responsible pet owners keeping the beach safe and clean. Since last November, we have volunteered time cleaning up the beach and spreading the word about this wonderful new addition to our area. This week, we were awarded a top volunteer award! We are so happy to be part of such a wonderful group of people striving to improve the lives of local as well as visiting dog lovers.

Pet care can be expensive, especially if it is an emergency. Yesterday, we got a call from a very sweet girl who was extremely upset and panicked because her pup had injured himself and they could not afford to have him checked out. Long story short, she and her family (and two dogs) went from being homeless to finally getting into a house but money was tight. We could tell from talking to her that her pups meant everything to them. We were happy to help them get her pup checked out and back to good health. Just another way that your generous donations enable us to assist our community pets. ❤️🐾
