No better way to come back from a social media break to announce some huge things coming up!
First I want to introduce you to this little mare, Tamira. She’s a horse with Heart Of Phoenix Equine Rescue, and I’ll be showcasing her this year. She’s a cute little gaited mare with the sweetest personality. She’s super safe under saddle after doing my evaluation on her the other day. Not fancy broke (yet), but willing to go along and do whatever. I have a feeling she’ll make a great trail horse, or even a little play day horse. Her gait is one of the smoothest I’ve felt in a while.
We do have a couple hurdles to get through, and even though she is available for adoption now we still need to work on these things. For that reason if she does get adopted quickly I’d love for her person to come down and work with me some to get to know her. They will also have the option to send her for training with me for a discounted rate or do lessons if close enough.
She’s not confident, she gets flustered easily but will work through it. She is also hard to catch in an open field. She’ll be starting ulcer meds and getting some extras in her feed until her weight is where I’d like it. For starters, we’ll be starting on her with some chopped alfalfa and probiotics. I’ll make a list here soon just for her, but for now you can donate directly through Heart of Phoenix and have it sent there.
And there in lies the next hurdle. She is not at my barn, I’m currently traveling to her at Mulligan. Even though I’m a trainer there I’m donating my time with her, and I’m hoping to take her to a few events if she’s not adopted soon. If you wish to donate anything at all to her care or my expense we would sure appreciate it. I’m hoping we can find her a home sooner rather than later because this girl needs her person.
I’ll be doing a more detailed post about her story and her in general this weekend, along with better pictures because this girl is cute as
