IMPORTANT REMINDER - The application period in Idaho for Mountain Goat is April. We have trophy class Mountain Goats in our area - We know where to find them - And how to make your dream hunt a reality.

There has been a change in regulations that could increase your chance to draw one of these elusive tags for this dream hunt of a Lifetime. Ridgerunner Outfitters hunt area for Mountain Goat is divided into 2 areas by Idaho Fish and Game. 1 tag is available in Area 10-1 (which can be issued to a non-resident), 2 tags are available in Area 10-2 (1 of which can be issued to a non-resident). That's 3 tags with the possibility of 2 issued to non-residents. Historically, these areas have been drawn as the first choice of the applicant. You have a very good chance of drawing a tag in one of these 2 areas.

There has been a change in regulations that could double your chance to draw one of these elusive tags for this dream hunt of a Lifetime. Ridgerunner Outfitters hunt area for Mountain Goat has been divided into 2 areas by Idaho Fish and Game. What used to be 2 tags (only 1 of which could be issued to a non-resident) in this area, is now 2 areas with 2 tags each (1 of which can be issued to a non-resident in each area). That's 4 tags with the possibility of 2 issued to non-residents. Historically, this area has been drawn as the first choice of the applicant. In 2015, 66 hunters submitted application for area 10-1 and only 42 for area 10-2 as their 1st choice. That's a 1 in 33 and a 1 in 21 chance to draw a tag in these areas. If the same number apply for both areas in 2016, then you have a very good chance of drawing a tag in one of these 2 areas.

The Kokanee run is on - The Northfork Clearwater River and it's tributaries are turning red with these freshwater salmon. A real bonus for a Fall Black Bear Hunt (especially with the opportunity for a colorphase blonde bear like this).
