So unbelievably proud of these 2 horses and all of the try they gave me this season at the Southeast Ranch Horse Series! This was my blue eyed boy, Bling's, first year showing at only a 18 months of riding, and he brought home the Buckle for the Green Horse Division year end award. Stella, Golden Bars Dunit, held her own in the Open Division for a Reserve Champion year end Halter. I couldn't be happier with this show season. Thank you Bev for having me show our beloved Poundcake. She has so much try and heart.
MTPH hopes everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with their friends, family, and of course their beloved equines!
Happy Veterans Day to all of those who have fought to keep us Free!
Proud of this girl and her boy tonight the best practice run they have made together.
Few snippets from lessons this week.
Ok peeps, I'm starting new trend... ...MareMonday. These are the 3 mares I worked with today. Left to right...Ruby, Stella, and Money.
Post a pic of your mare in the comments below. 😉
And now for my proud mama moment...I love this big bay man with everything I have in me. He works so hard every time we enter the pen. Last night was no different, he placed us 3rd in 1D in Adult and Open! Talk about consistency and some moolah to take home wasn't bad either. ❤❤❤
Love love love seeing 2 horses that I have previously worked with killing it on the poles last night! Gina and the Black Beast ran a new personal best of 21.97 and Taylor and Screamers were literally bending the poles. Also, a big congrats to my current student Savanna and her horse Magnum for placing 2nd in the 3D in Youth! Final proud trainer moment came with Trinity and Ace finding their confidence to add speed in the arena race and dropping into the single digits with a 9.9! So proud of all of you and how hard you work with your horses. I feel honored to race with you all and call you friends!
Live each day like the sky isn't the limit.
Happy Friday, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Southeast Ranch Horse Show in Ringgold at StateLine Arena is this weekend...hope Bling and I are ready. Eye of the tiger...haha. Come out and root everyone on! Fun for all.
A little late but here are a few pics of my big bay boy, Puff Daddy, getting it done last weekend. Thankfully we are still sitting in first in the 2D of Adult Barrels at NBRC...a Buckle is in our sites. So so proud of him for his first season back after 4yrs off. This boy takes care of us both each time we step foot in the arena.
Busy busy busy...started out this morning working the Seven Oaks girls on Signal, then off to a reining lesson with Kody of Next Level Performance Horses, and wrapped up the day with a wonderful workout on my Puff Daddy. Puff and I are trying to get as in shape as possible for the Fallon Taylor Jackpot next Sunday 10/2!

Shout out to Trinity Longwith this was her first time helping me show the Seven Oaks girls. She did very well, took it all in, and learned a lot.
Our run from the show this past Saturday. 1st in 2D, not to shabby for his first season back after 4yrs off. Love his dedication.
Puffy's run from June. We had a 16.4 for 1D but came out to tight on 3rd.
Awesome pic of Puffy, me not so much, captured by Tennessee Sport's Pics at the show Saturday!
Puff Daddy gave me an awesome early birthday present with 1st in the 2D in Adult & Open 3D Barrels! Love how much try this guy gives me.

I love Steve Kosor & Gina Smith-Hatler commentary during our run. Nice to know people are always rooting for you.

Such a good minded mare. Walk, leg yield, pivot, turn around, stop, and back up bridless.
Last workout before Bam went home for the winter. Cruising through the pattern, yielding shoulders, and loping quiet, round circles. Note: Bam is only a 3yr old QH mare, and this is her first formal training since leaving track life last winter. Smart, willing, and athletic is a killer combo. Proud of her coming so far in 5 weeks, can't wait to see how she progresses in the spring of 2016.
Bam Bam week 5 working the single barrel exercise at a lope both directions. This exercise allows you to work on the round of your horses turns without having to push them through the pattern repeatedly. I picked it up at a Molly Powell Clinic, continuing education is always a plus.
Little late posting this but I had the proudest moment of Ruby the last time we worked at State Line Arena. We started out free lunging and ended up working at liberty around Stella and I. She responded perfectly to body language and voice commands. Maybe I have found her new career Beverly Coulter. ;-) Silly lil mare. Side Note: Ruby has only free lunged a handful of times in a round pen but at least I know we are connected even in a 150x200 arena.
