I’m having withdrawal from not seeing these girls. I love it when a client says “it may take awhile for them to warm up to you and eat” these two didn’t miss a beat. The owner came home early but allotment to come say goodbye. I wondered how they’d react to me now that mom was home. No hesitation…they jumped up on the couch/lap with me. I had to get them off me so I could leave. I finished writing a note and when I turned around, Tinks, was on top of my stuff. Needless to say I stayed longer and she again crawled up on my lap!! I could feel the love.

Education is never wasted. Today is the last day of our pet sitters conference. I think virtual is more exhausting than being there in person. So much to learn!!

Celebrating 24 years in business this month!! If anyone had told me back in 1997 I’d still be pet sitting I wouldn’t have believed it. Best job ever. I’m so thankful to all my great clients present and past who’ve made my dream such a success. Many have become good friends. And I couldn’t have done it without the help of so many other sitters who’ve covered for me during my cancer journey. Amber Wynings, Evelyn Ellis, Cynthia Lummis Johnson and others who have helped. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Ok, Being old & technically challenged are a double whammy but I’m learning! While I’d rather be at our annual PSI conference in person I’m thankful to be able to attend the sessions virtually. Beth Stultz-Hairston and the PSI staff have done a great job in putting this conference together so it’s members could still benefit from the education provided by the presenters. I will admit trying to use my phone for some stuff and my computer for others is definitely a challenge!
